Obama's foreign policy team hits turbulence
By JOSH GERSTEIN | 11/13/12 4:21 PM EST
President Barack Obama and his aides touted his strengths on foreign policy and national security during the campaign, arguing his accomplishments are so significant that they buttress his case for a second term.
Now, just days after his reelection, Obamas national security team is facing the most dramatic upheaval of his presidency.
CIA Director David Petraeus is out because of a sex scandal. The commanding general in Afghanistan, Gen. John Allen, finds himself ensnared in the same flap. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to call it quits. Administration officials are dropping hints about replacing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta with Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) once Panetta departs. And Obamas top adviser on terrorism, John Brennan, also may be heading out.

IMO, they were somehow able to supress the Patreaus/Benghazi mess until after the election.
Certainly, if it had come out—and was truthfully reported, we might have seen a very different election.......
I can assure you, it never would have been truthfully reported. Thank you, main stream media.
I hate early voting. If not for early voting, Santorum might have won the primary. At least he would have given Mitt more a run for his money.
Santorum might have been thumped in the main election, but then again he might have been able to get out the core voters which seems to have been one of Mitt's major problems.
You are assuming people care. They don’t. They don’t want to hear it. They love Candy Cookie Crumb Crowley, and applauded her (they were not allowed to react in any way, but this audience knew they were allowed to laugh at Romney without retribution) for changing the subject. It’s why Mitt couldn’t get through.
That is why its called ELECTION DAY !!!!
The Lamestream Mainstream Media is dead to me, Jim.
“Katie” Couric’s daytime tv show is not gonna be turned on in our house. Is it even still on?
The morning shows with their fawning all over Obama are out.
The evening “news” programs are out. “Nightline” and all that rot are out.
Out! Out! Out!
There is a ton of negative news out there about Obama, the economy, lots of things. Before the election everything was coming up roses, but now, not so much.
I agree with you. We must, however, do more.
We need a letter writing campaign aimed at the sponsors. We should not use products from companies who sponsor this drivel.
