Romney echoed the view of the brain trust that lost him the election. It would have been more productive for him to say that he viewed events in the Mid East with great caution, instead of wanting to intervene more aggressively than Obama. Of course, he was strait-jacketed by the views of aggressive interventionists like Lindsay Graham and John McCain, and the things he said during the primaries. However, he could have issued a mea culpa, and changed his mind, given what we’ve seen since then, ranging from Islamists getting super-majorities and events like the Libyan consulate attack.

Thought that was why we were going to get Romney. Cause he could go balls out in Syria. Even get lots of boots on the ground. Now they think they can double down on stupid and still beat Assad.
