An outrageous Facebook post, calling President Barack Obama “the n***er” and referencing his assassination, has cost a California women her job and reputation after the disgusting message went viral.

Denise Helms, of Turlock, Calif., reportedly set the post to “private” on her Facebook page, but someone snapped an image and put it on Twitter.

Not saying what she said was right, buuuuuuuttt...why is it that everyone goes insane with this shit, posted by a woman who was clearly distraught on FACEBOOK, where I have certainly seen worse than this or on DailyKos and Bill “the smirking midget” Maher can call Sarah Palin a C***T on a nationally televised cable show and nothing? I mean ... NOTHING happens?

You don’t think the press is trying to inflame any particular voting block, do you?

I can’t believe she was stupid enough to put this on the internet.

She could have made a movie about him getting assassinated, and that would have been okay, in fact praised.

She could have put a likeness of his head on a pike in an award winning cable network’s video presentation.

How dare she! I am offended...

I do think the “N” word was over the top, certainly not illegal. She didn’t advocate for the assassination. She didn’t ever state it would be a good idea.

She pondered an event that might or might no take place.

The “N” word is used by some people constantly, and it’s not considered racist at all.

These double, triple, quadruple standard situations really do need to end.
