Don’t worry. Kim Jong Obama will whip off an executive order in a matter of days to ensure not a drop of oil flows out of here.

Looks like a little truck based *work over* rig, they can't be going deep with that thing.
The type of rig our crews would say, "The driller shows up in the morning, puts a quarter in a slot and it cranks up".

And of the Obamadork and his den-O-idiots try to stop it, the intelligent western states should just secede (e.g, California wouldn’t secede.)

We’d be worth more than the entire area of blue sceptic areas that voted for that excrement pile, that mass of putrescence, that odious collection of nothingness, that......(you get the point.)

A perfect reason for Sarah Palin to be our next President. I hope she’s building up her knowledge of the oil industry for the next four years.

I got a nice 10 point mule deer not more than a mile from that site.

Nothing out there but dirt, rock, sage and small pines.

3 trillion barrels of oil would cover the entire state of Utah with over 9 feet of oil.

That’s a lot of oil.

So we have the means to defund Al-Queda and its backers. Lets see what both sides of the aisle do. I bet there will not be much difference.

And there are significant environmental obstacles.

So what? I don't care one bit. But Zero and his minions will use this as another excuse to stymie domestic energy production.

Drill baby drill! Frack baby frack!

I was able to easily forgive Nixon for Watergate. His real crime was the creation of the vile EPA.

I suspect there are many similar reserves around the world. These are as yet unexplored or incompletely explored because they were not considered recoverable until recently. The US may not be a bit exceptional, other than in having had more applicable exploration done - so far. This will certainly change and great new finds will become commonplace. If so, natural gas and petroleum will be local local resources, more similar to hydro or coal, and not global concerns.

Between Obama’s no energy policies and never ending environmentalist law suits we should live so long as to see any significant oil taken from this area. Instead we will waste billions blighting the land with worthless windmills and solar arrays while gasoline soars to over $5 per gallon and average Americans are shivering or sweltering in darkened homes because they can barely afford electricity.

I don’t know if the anti-drillers are sincere in their efforts to prevent drilling in order to protect the environment or if they simply want to degrade the lifestyle here.

What I do know is that they are, consciously or not, making sure that this country will be the last country on the planet that will have any petroleum.

The operation might require so much water it would compete with Denver and agriculture for vital supplies, the GAO report warned,...

Just wondering....why don't they recover and reuse water in these operations?

Too bad that there is not a snowball's chance in a blast furnace that we will exploit this find and drill or in some way obtain the oil in this shale.

Obama and his liberal jerks would sooner see people freeze or have to pay double the current gas price or more than exploit our own natural energy resources.

Carbon fuel is evil in their sight and they mean to kill it's production any chance they get.

Unfortunately the propaganda of the Democrats worked big time this year and that gives them a chance to trash any kind of drilling or operation to obtain energy.

Better to stick it to the greater public.

After all these schmucks have the money to go where they want and to heat their homes.

They could give a rip and a half if my family sleeps cold or I have to spend 8 or 9 dollars for a gallon of gas.

This would not bother liberals in the least.

If the USA still existed, we might be able to use that information, but with this country now under new ownership, none of it means a hill of beans.

Obama’s Post-Reelection EPA Plans

Posted: November 4, 2012

If you think the Obama administration’s Enterprise Prevention Agenda has been wildly aggressive during the past four years, believe me, we really ain’t seen nothin’ yet. A new report released by the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works Minority Committee enumerates a slew of planned EPA regulations that have been delayed or punted on until after the election that will destroy millions of American jobs and cause energy prices to skyrocket even more.

Titled “A Look Ahead to EPA Regulations for 2013: Numerous Obama EPA Rules Placed on Hold Until After the Election Spell Doom For Jobs and Economic Growth”, it lists and describes new rules concocted over the past year ranging from additional restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions, tougher water guidelines and tightening of the ozone standard. Taken together, they will further drive up pump prices, impose construction bans on local communities, and cripple oil, natural gas and coal production.

As the Washington Post notes, the report puts a spotlight back on the Obama EPA which has earned a “reputation for Abuse”, serving as a stark reminder that “President Obama has presided over a green team administration that works every day to “crucify” oil and gas companies and make sure that “…if you want to build a coal plant you got a big problem.”
