A supporter of the Republican candidate in Arizona's undecided 2nd Congressional District race has asked a court to block tallying of results from 130 ballots in Cochise County.

The article is written to suggest this is a simple “don’t count the votes” petition. But the issue is that these provisional ballots were not in a sealed envelope, and therefore there is no proof that they were cast on election day.

Someone could have just put them in a pile. Someone could have gotten to them and modified them. They shouldn’t be counted because there is no proof that they were valid votes cast on election day.
