It appears Florida will adopt part of the Affordable Healthcare Act, better known as "Obamacare," after all.
Gov. Rick Scott had opposed implementing the plan but now, it looks like he is ready to accept at least part of it.
For months now, Scott and some fellow Republicans in the legislature have been pledging to defeat Obamacare. At the same time, those lawmakers haven't started any processes to implement health care reform in Florida.
Scott now says, "It's not enough to say no to Obamacare."
On Tuesday, incoming House Speaker Rep. Will Weatherford (R) will hold a news conference about the issue. It is anticipated he will talk about his openness to implementing some parts of health care reform -- namely, health insurance exchange.
State officials face a Friday deadline to respond to the federal government about their plans to implement Obamacare.
The health insurance exchange gives people without insurance the opportunity to sign up for coverage.
FReepers are recommending Texas. I might be pulling up my 30+ stakes here in Florida and moving somewhere that politicians have spines.
How can you adopt part of a law? That seems a bit like “sort of driving 55” when you’re going 65.
Free stuff! Free stuff for everybody!
Everybody get your free stuff!
You don’t have to work for it! You don’t have to earn it!
Evil, rich corporations tried to take it from you!
But Barry’s gonna give it to you, and give it to you good!
Remember...the MSM loves nothing better than to make conservatives angry at their leaders. Make sure you are not getting angry because the MSM is leading you to it.
Actually, this may be the way to break the system. Everyone should sign up for every government program: food stamps, medical care, rent assistance, every subsidy you can get. Cloward & Pivan encouraged the welfare class to do this. It is muddling through so far, because China has loaned us the money to keep the free stuff flowing.
But if everyone joined the party, there is no way the government could borrow enough to keep the wolf from the door. Let it go broke.
The states can either comply, or the Feds will do it for them.... The classic dilemma faced by a conquered nation with an occupation army nearby.
Let me know if you find that place.
That's the left's goal, to break the system. Why are you interested in helping them?
It's basic Cloward-Piven strategy! By breaking the existing system, Socialists/Communists have more credibility when they jump up and claim that capitalism has failed, and that only Socialism/Communism can save the country.
Obama has already set the table for this, by blaming the current economy on Bush. A significant number of voters believe it. They're too ignorant to know otherwise, so Socialism -- under some innocuous name -- will be welcomed with open arms.
Believe me, nothing good would come out of "breaking the system." It's the commies who are prepared to jump all over that.
An inflatable sex doll would put up more resistance.

According to the article above, Scott is not going to implement the damnable Obamacare law.
I predict by the end of the week the Republicans will have been talked into paying for the KY jelly to make the rape less painful.
And anyone who doesn't want the rape will be labelled an extremist.
That is my plan. Especially when the democrat party is running the show.
Still working hard after 43 years of paying income taxes while the shiftless, lazy and racist filth sit on their bums and get a free ride.
I will take as much from the rats as I can to help it crash sooner rather than later.
“But if everyone joined the party, there is no way the government could borrow enough to keep the wolf from the door. Let it go broke.”
It won’t. It will just keep printing phony money. We will then have hyperinflation. Get your wheelbarrow out.
It would not surprise me to see Scott go wobbly o-care.
He won by only 1% in the 2010 GOP landslide.
He is toast and will be gone in 2012.
Rick Scott Still Won’t Implement Parts Of Health Care Law After Obama Reelection

Rick, just say NO to OBAMACare!! You to Mr Weatherford!

If Repubs cave on this.... This would be such a betrayal.
I would. Florida is gone. It will become another blue state.
