Look for people to go “galt” in regards to Obamacare, to protest against it by not buying insurance or paying the fine.

This was my original response to the health care. I kept the draft and will be reminding myself of it periodically:
*********************
When this “health care for all” crap passes, right now the legislation states that it will be illegal to sell private policies over the date of passage. It also says that HSA’s will no longer be allowed. That means that my current policy will no longer be allowed and neither I nor my employer will be allowed to privately purchase an alternative.

I will not accept the “public option” that I will be dictated to join. I will not give the government control over my physical body. I will not pay their fines, I will not surrender to the impending warrant for my arrest. When they knock on my door, I will not answer. When they kick it in, I will make the news.

How’s that for unification, libtards? You loons are currently legislating my death. I will chose the terms and I will bring as many of you along as possible!
*********************************************
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security”

This Obamacare stuff is really starting to scare the crap out of me, as if it didn’t already.

I just used a calculator provided by an organization that SUPPORTS Obamacare.

It said that with my current (modest) salary, if my employer did not provide health insurance (and what if they drop it, as so many have?), I would be paying 12% of my gross salary for healthcare, a sum larger than my rent payment. I would not be eligible for the subsidy Rush mentioned, as the income figure is for a family of four.

Do you realize what a killer that would be to the economy? How much otherwise disposable income would be taken out of consumers pockets in order to fund health care?

to protest against it by not buying insurance

I'm not sure that is an option unless you go to a Black Market medical care provider.

Oh yeah, it’ll be their very own Democrat supporters that are going to be the most difficult when they get told they have to do something.
