(Full title: Mark Levin to Karl Rove: ‘Get the h*ll off the stage already, will you pal?’) On his Monday radio program, talk show host Mark Levin, author of “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America,” rejected the notion that the Republican Party should become more moderate to win over voters and blasted several commentators who suggested otherwise. <snip> “And I hear Rove today going on, ‘We got to do this better,’ ‘I got to do this,’ ‘Got to this,’” Levin continued. “Get the hell off the stage already, will you pal? You’re a hanger-on. I don’t say this with any personal contempt. It’s just, enough is enough. We need fresh faces in politicians. We talk about them all the time — Ted Cruz and Rand Paul and Mike Lee and Marco Rubio, and so forth. Well, we need fresh faces who are advising these people too. And I’ll be honest, some fresh faces on Fox wouldn’t hurt. It’s time for Rove to go. I can’t take it anymore.” Levin also took on The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol for his “Fox News Sunday” remarks suggesting that some conservative leaders should pull back and accept a tax increase on the wealthy. “Let me help you out — we’re not defending millionaires,” Levin said. “We’re defending capitalism. We think the government is big enough. Now, I don’t know why I have to tell Bill Kristol this, but not every billionaire has it inherited from mommy and daddy. Some people actually earned it, and they want to invest it in their businesses.”

I’ve always been a Levin fan, but lately I’ve been making a point to listen to him every evening. He’s a national treasure, and I don’t say that lightly.
He’s like medicine after listening to craven quislings like Sean Hannity and Bill Kristol, with their suddenly “evolved” liberal viewpoints.
Levin is right.
Time for new, conservative blood.

Rove has been selling his ‘51-49’ election win snake oil for some years now. Through sheer good fortune his candidates won but 51-49 quickly turns to 49-51 as we’ve learned the hard way.
Rove and principle are strangers and that’s the way he likes it. But a principled candidate can win 49 states and make all the cheese-paring superfluous.
And Mark, if you are reading this, please tell your copyist little buddy Hannity to STFU.

Sean Hannity is ok, I guess, but it’s really hard to watch him anymore.
He is a “talking points machine”. It is probably a neat thing that he can memorize and recall all that stuff at the drop of a hat, even items from years ago. He can go down the list of talking points on any subject.
The problem is that it gets boring. That’s his schtick, though, and he doesn’t deviate from it.

Conservatives (and Republicans) need to stop being so nice.
To win you MUST fight fire with fire. You must use the weapons your opponent uses. Alinsky. No more Mr. Nice Guys. That is what I love about Levin. He sees it, too. He understands that politics are a dirty business and NICE GUYS finish last each and every time.

You’re so right about his talking points. I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard him parrot, “Republicans want dirty air and water, and want to push Grandma off the cliff.” Recently, I heard it three times from him in two days. One of those times was when my husband turned on his show at night....I was in the kitchen, heard Sean’s voice, and I yelled, “Republicans want dirty air and water!”
I kid you not——two seconds later, the very words came out of his mouth.
