After reading that poll, the only thing that will fix the US is hard depression. That is one depressing poll.
Interestingly, Obama lowest level of black support was with ages 18-29 (91-8). Odd.
I would have thought the youth black vote would be at the highest and the older set would be somewhat more pragmatic. But nope.
Romney cleaned up in every white category, even white youths (which Obama won in 2008). Too bad we are outgunned and not as racist as the rest of the hyphenated Americans.
I don’t agree with Ann Coulter much anymore....after her love affair with Romney in the primaries.
but she is right on the money on one subject.
the female suffrage thing.
Obama only won by appealing to minorities, the young - who are very easy targets for the kinds of messages they get from hip-hop and popular media, and women - who the left targeted successfully with their negative anti-Romney messaging. Their side can't do much better in terms of the numbers of those groups they wound up with. We absolutely can. I would be more worried, long term, if I were them.
Think about how many of us were at some point in our earlier lives liberal, because we bought into the message of ‘fairness’, not realizing that it was a Trojan horse for something destructive. Eventually, the Obama youth will mature - and their votes will change. (Republican PACs should have been running ads of Al Sharpton saying ‘bring back the draft’, on campuses nationwide).
The post-graduate vote that the left gets comes from a mix of lawyers - (the protected post-graduate elites of the left), college professors who are either too stupid to have realized that Marxism is for idiots - or who are thinking the they are going to get more grant funding, teachers with graduate degrees, and a slew of people who resent the fact that despite their advanced degrees in something not particularly useful (for which they didn't work half as hard as someone with a BS in engineering did) aren't making much money.
In short. Take heart. We haven't lost the country. We've been outmaneuvered, but now is not the time to quit. It is the time to work even harder, and go after them much, much harder. In their face, all the time, in every place. Let's Roll.
I would favor a constitutional amendment to enact a voting test to make one eligible to vote.
It’s coming.
On what possible issue could women go for a loser like zero by 11 points?
It's all ready to go:
"Are you now, or have you ever been, a Member of the Communist Party?"
Yes?...."go get your ballot".
No?......"NEXT"....
"Legitimate rape"?
I’d be happy if we could overturn the 17th amendment. Given the current GOP held state count we’d be starting with 46 GOP senators without even counting the mixed legislature states that would send one of each.
And what would be the criteria?
Be careful what you wish for. The determination might be chosen by an Obama Or a Clinton.
Winning the Future: The Fiscal-Conservative Fantasy

Going Negative and Turning Out the Base (Michael Barone)
Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.

1. Who is the current President of the United States?
1a. Who is his opponent?
2. Who is the current Vice President of the United States?
2a. Who is his opponent?
3. Who are your 2 United States Senators?
3a. Who are their opponent? (if running)
4. Who is your Representative in Congress?
4a. Who is his opponent?
If you can’t answer those questions from memory, you shouldn’t be voting.
Great point. In enacting every law we should say, “What if this got into the hands of a devil?” I think we’d get far fewer laws and be a far better people if we adopted this approach.
I don’t know 4a. I’m in the GA 6th, Newt’s old district, now represented by Tom Price. The Dem opponent isn’t someone worth any mental effort remembering.
Your point is well taken. Republicans will continue to do well in off years as the low-information voter will not bother to come out.
the left is purposely dumbing down the populace with help from the NEA etc.
they would call any such amendment racist/sexist/homophobe(there is no such thing as ‘homophobe’...that ‘word’ is rife with inaccuracies )
the so called blue states will not sign on.
my bone to pick is with the 19th amendment which was voted on when the dough boy were in France and finally made law in 1920. emotion and the need to be ‘cared for’ should not be among the criteria used to elect a candidate
Thanks for the ping!
