Would someone please explain to me why I should care one whit whom illegal aliens, or their citizen relatives want to vote for to negate my vote.

My ancestors have lived in America long before it became the United States of America and now so-called political gurus wish to convince me that how illegal aliens' potential voting should move me to allow them to be given amnesty and citizenship so more of my country may become Mexico!

When HELL freezes over!

I agree with you totally on the emotional level, but the fact of the matter is there is a real change in voter demographics happening in our lifetime. The reality is that Hispanics now represent 10+% of the current electorate and by if current trends continue by 2025 the estimates are that whites will be in the minority. I have lived in S.FL. and have relatives in S.TX. and have closely watched the effects of the Mexican/Central American influx. Also, I was born and live in upstate NY in a small city currently close to 20% Hispanic(mostly Puerto Rican/Islanders). I mention these things for the purpose of saying, It is not our grandparents or parents(European immigrants) country anymore! This is where we are and no amount of complaining will change the fact that the farmers in the south & southwest want cheap labor and whites don’t want those jobs. The mass influx of immigrants in the past 30-40 years have been brown and that will continue because of simple economics-the countries that they are coming from are significantly less prosperous than we are and you can be sure, like it or not, we will continue to be inundated with mostly Hispanic immigrants going forward. I feel your pain 06...America is changing wether we like it or not and Washington politicians only care about getting those votes!
