In the story of Abraham and Sodom, it is worth remembering that Abraham overestimated the number of godly people in Sodom and Gomorrah. In the end, even Lot’s wife preferred the sins of S & G to following God.
I see almost no trace of godliness in large areas of America - the Northeast, or the coastal areas of California. Almost every large city has rejected any pretense of godliness.

For years, whenever I came to the part where the townspeople called for the angels to come out, I had always forgotten the previous debate. I mistakenly thought the Lord destroyed the place because of the events in town. Since he always honors his word, it only dawned on me later that the correct number were not found.
I agree. I can barely think of one prominent person in this country that is widely known as an authentic believer. There are many good prominent pastors/apologists, but they go unnoticed in the “popular” culture. More people know Tim Teebow than John Macarthur. We live in alternate universe.
