it's referred to as WILD SALMON. I've been buying frozen chunks at $4.75 a pound for the last year ~ each 1 pound chunk breaks up nicely into four full servings for adults.

Steak costs more, and hamburger, though available at lower price, doesn't go as far as salmon.

I shop at ALDI ~ along with the welfare mothers and hootchie mommas.

My Aldi has 2lbs of salmon for $7.99 already portioned at 4 oz each. I buy them for my teenage daughter who loves Salmon and won’t eat a hamburger. Much cheaper than a good grade of steak.

We buy a lot of things as Aldi’s. Not only because it’s less expensive (avacadoes for $.39 versus $.99 to $1.29 elsewhere) but also many items they carry are higher quality than even available around here. Heavy whipping cream is less expensive AND less processed i.e. more real and natural than we can get anywhere else.
