The ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee said hes spoken to former CIA Director David Petraeus about still testifying on the Benghazi attack and the answer is not now.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said on ABCs This Week this morning that his committee wasnt told about the Petraeus investigation reportedly centering around his mistress and emails until Friday, when the generals resignation was announced.
He and I have already had a conversation. You know, hes trying to put his life back together right now and thats what he needs to focus on, Chambliss said in regard to Thursdays closed-door Benghazi hearing, at which Petraeus was supposed to testify.

No parties on Chappaquiddick and hitching a ride home. And no walking the dog in Brentwood, either.
Can Viagra be far behind?
It so stinks on ice, she might be in on it. By the way, he dies his hair. Therefore she should know he shouldn't be trusted.
It's not about you or your life. It's about her life as the spouse of one of the most prominent and visible men in the United States. Looking well-put-together is just part of the job, and she was falling down on the job. She could have made the time and could have afforded many types of help. That said, her slovenly appearance doesn't excuse what he did.
Not that Dec 25th has any Christian connections other than the day Constantine declared to be the birth date..
I say watch out for the Grinch too! It's not like 0m0slem ever celebrated either one growing up!
Well gee golly, General.....you dipped your wick, got caught, and want to mend things with the missus. Fine.
Personally, I don’t give a flying s**t about your home life. You’re a pro; act like one. Get off yer ass and go testify as to what really happened in Bengazi....and quit hiding behind your wife’s skirts, g***amn it.
And why in hell should she?
Btw, I think older women who dye their hair only succeed in making themselves look even older. Not to mention vain.
One reason Barbara Bush was so well-liked by the public was that she accepted what age had done to her looks -- and didn't give a flying fig about it.
Guess I'm in a minority in today's popular culture ... but I think women who are old enough to be grandmas only manage to look ridiculous when they try to look "sexy."

COULDN’T AGREE MORE!
‘Guess I’m in a minority in today’s popular culture.’
Whatever the era, is ‘today’s popular culture. . . ‘
Perhaps you also resist getting ‘up to date.’
One can refuse to become up-dated, but it usually doesn’t hurt too much!
Grandma = automatic old bag - - ? ? !
Sexy attempting grandma’s (my mom was a grandma at 39 - - was she then supposed to ‘let it all go?!’) is one thing, staying contemporary to a degree is something else.
Barbara Bush was sassy and refreshing, of course.
PS - get a chance to read my post #94 - ?
And btw, I didn't much care for Barbara Bush's political opinions.
But any woman who has borne children and has devoted her life to bringing up those children well --rather than pursuing a self-absorbed goal of remaining "hot" and "contemporary" -- is most deserving of honor and respect.
I find such women beautiful, though their beauty is of a different kind than they may have had earlier in life.
But yes, I'm one of those apparently few remaining people who refuses to "get with it" or accept the trashy "contemporary" view of life.
I am worried the general may pull a Jeremy Michael Boorda. Or be pushed. . .
I am worried the general may pull a Jeremy Michael Boorda. Or be pushed. . .
That was my concern expressed a few days ago.
I am concerned he may pull a Jeremy Michael Boorda. . .or be pushed. . .
“Well i think it’s safe to say that the political career for Petraeus is over now. “
Why?
Didn’t kill Clinton’s career. . .in fact, he thrived!
So, maybe best to say “Well i think it’s safe to say that A REPUBLICAN political career for Petraeus is over now. “
Bus, Bridge, or “Boom” is the question.
Reminds me of the “Guess which Clinton conmnected person will ‘mysteriously die’ this week” game from way back.
Half-right. Lebanese Maronite. Her family moved to Philadelphia in the 70's. They owned three restaurants, all called Sahara, when she was growing up.
Playing in my mind over and over again are our American Heroes begging for help for 7 hours while those in charge watched their brutal battle and did NOTHING TO HELP THEM! Playing in my mind over and over again is the pathetic response to their cries for help, to their honorable Brothers who made ready to come to their defense, the order of ultimate betrayal of STAND DOWN! Playing in my mind is their former General, David Petraeus, wimpily and pathetically blaming this horrendous planned attack on our brave Warriors on a video, carrying water for the failed leadership of this administration that our Troops have suffered so tremendously under! No honor here!
There hasn't been honor in his command for a long long time! What General of honor orders his troops out of armored vehicles onto foot patrol on roads laden with IEDs to further the failed policies of his cowardly boss?!! What General of honor continues to promote failed rules of engagement that affords the enemy every advantage on the battlefield and causes more loss of life and limbs in 4 years than the whole war from the beginning?! What kind of General of honor oversees deal making to release terrorists back onto the battlefield, one of which led this attack on our brave Navy Seals who fought the brute to their deaths?!! No honor here!!
Don't talk to me about the honor of General Petraeus! I hope the last thing that plays in my mind is the sound of his cowardly voice testifying to Congress that he has failed his men and he failed his country because somewhere along the way he lost his honor and his career and ego became more important to him than the safety of his men!
