Yesterday Twitchy reported that the unhinged Left was targeting Applebee’s because one monstrous franchisee may implement a hiring freeze to deal with the financial realities of Obamacare. Today, the target is Papa John’s CEO John Schnatter.

Yes, please DO boycott Papa Johns...then even the part time workers there will lose their jobs...and Papa John will keep only the most productive workers...and most of them, you can be certain, will not be Obama voters.

I love it when liberal morons cut their own throats.

Boycotts will cause layoffs due to boycotts.
Guessing most workers there voted Obama .

I don’t see any reason to dissuade any boycott.
Eventually they’ll see their punishing their own.

This is only the beginning of businesses attempting to avoid this catastrophic legislation. Businesses should boycott government by not paying taxes, or something. A revolution is in the making, the feds don’t know it yet, or expect everyone to rollover and keep taking it in the you know where. America, wake up, before it’s too late. Never give in and never give up. There’s still millions of us willing to preserve America’s uniqueness in the world. It’s probably going to get ugly, but there’s a belief in her future. If not, we’re all dead, or will die fighting.

That’s it Leftists, kill off more jobs. Let’s just turn this place into a “former worker’s” paradise. What a plan...

22+ million out of work...
10s of millions more working for 50 to 75% of what they used to make...

Let’s hear it for the common “used to be” worker.

What we are seeing here, is what happens whenever Socialists get absolute power.

The private sector tries to survive by doing everything it can to avoid the damage.

Then the Socialists react by taking over private business. Oh they may not do that here, but what they will do is legislate what businesses must do.

In short order there is no private business. The private sector removes it’s funds. The government steps in. You wind up with no private sector, and a total communist police state.

“We will find you, and cleanse you!”

If you want to be successful in the U. S., I recommend learning to goose step higher than those you’ll be competing against, and develop a way to turn on your fellow citizens in a manner they can’t see.

Welcome to Eastern Europe, 1970.

We can call it the Wheat Curtain, something else we won’t have in short order.

This turns around in short order, or all bets are off.

Indeed. A man doesn’t have to be too deep a thinker to see that a boycott is not likely to help employees of the business targeted.

Deep thinker, as in someone who was willing to vote in Obama again?

I’m just shocked they didn’t devise a plan to shut the business down on day one, to help the workers.

Picketing outside preventing customers from entering. Cutting phone lines. Turning the power off. These could have gotten quicker results. The employees would have been helped in hours, not weeks. /s

Actually these boycotts may have a beneficial side-effect. Since every service industry employer with over 49 employees will be moving to the 28-hour work week, the liberals will have to boycott all of them, meaning they’ll either have to learn to do things for themselves, or patronize really small businesses. The first way they’ll start learning self-reliance, the second they’ll actually come in contact with actual business owners and hear their complaints, rather than regarding business owners as distant corporate moguls.

Workers comp laws provide the workers comp benefit on the empolyer's nickle. I think Obamacare mandates employer coverage of health care costs for full time workers. The term "insurance" is a bit of a misnomer, when the coverage is for (when looked across the entire population) medical care.

North Korea-Run Restaurants Spread Propaganda and Kimchi Across Asia By Sebastian Strangio

Jun 6 2011, 7:00 AM ET 14

TGI Friday's meets DPRK propaganda center, the state-owned Pyongyang Cafés provide kitschy entrainment and much-needed revenues for the regime back home

Waitresses perform for diners at the Pyongyang Restaurant in Phnom Penh. By Sebastian Strangio VLADIVOSTOK, Russia and SEOUL, South Korea -- The Pyongyang Café sits at 58B Verkhneportovaya Street, a short walk from the twinkling lights of Vladivostok's container port. Patrons in this east Russian city, the home of the Pacific Fleet, are greeted at the door by pretty Korean waitresses, who take their coats and usher them into small booths with pine tables and lashings of plastic foliage. From a separate area of the restaurant -- reserved for Koreans, one waitress tells me -- comes the muffled sound of a karaoke machine, the same song warbling on repeatedly. After a bottle of Russian beer, a plate of dumplings, and a tasty bowl of bibimbap, Korea's national rice dish, I hand over a wad of rubles equivalent to about $35.

Among the city's growing cohort of Korean restaurants, Pyongyang Café has an unusual claim to fame. It is run by the North Korean government, part of a far-flung chain of restaurants that funnels much-needed foreign exchange to the ailing regime in Pyongyang. Andrey Kalachinsky, a veteran journalist and local analyst, said that in the Soviet era, when Vladivostok was a closed military city, the Pyongyang Café was the only foreign eatery in town -- a symbol of the political and economic ties between the Soviet Union and Marshal Kim Il-Sung's Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Correct, what started as a “perk” to get around Fed control of wages during WWII, is now a “right”???
Extra vacation time, company cars, etc, were all part of that.

“A revolution is in the making, the feds don’t know it yet, or expect everyone to rollover and keep taking it in the you know where.”

Oh, the feds know it. That’s why the feds are buying up ammo in huge numbers, and why they are champing at the bit to enact more gun bans. The feds are scared (which is a good thing). Remember the words of Thomas Jefferson: “When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. But when the government fears the people, there is freedom.”

It doesn’t work that well when you consider that the fewer hours an employee works - the less he/she pays in taxes, which results in less revenue for the feds. That results in less money coming in to support the takers in society, so at some point they get cut off.

Sounds good to me.

The libs should boycott the root cause of the problem - the socialistic health care law their “messiah” rammed through. A company with a small margin like pizza sales, simply cannot afford 0bamacare, unless the libs are willing to pay around double the current price for a pizza.
