FOTFLOL about spitting!

I’m late to the party but yes, exactly what machogirl said. And Sinema is a veryyy dangerous Communist — I’ve seen her on Fox even ... she comes across as more “regular,” than say the usual screaming banshee leftist... Meanwhile, she’s undermining the foundations of the country.

Speak for yourself.

No, I hear you, I’m the same way. I couldn’t stomach one of those for even a few minutes. Got a few brief (hardy har) looks at this one nightclub that used to be down here (I was doing product promotions when I was in grad school). “The Wild Boys” would show up there. Eww, sick.

My three careers have all been in male-dominated fields. I preferred it that way and never acted/act like an idiot (aka frat house boy). Or like a sexist, the way Nappy and her BFFs apparently did.

My dad used to have to use a slide-rule. Thank goodness Texas Instruments came out with a calculator. The same kind today that would retail for a couple bucks, well, maybe ten, my dad had to order for 250 bucks. We were allowed to look at it, no touchy.

My kids use graphing calculators in high school.

I took my grade in Engeering Graphics (part of the core, had to take it), and I ran like hell. IMHO, and it’s generally true, guys are better at spacial stuff than girls. That applied to me in the 3-D thinking and drawing that stuff. And that T-square stuck out of the back pack and was totally not fashion forward. lol

There was a real loser in my class. Out of all the students (30 or so) in the class, he decides to steal my drawings. The joke was on him. He must have not looked very well. Machogirl is not a drafter. He got poor grade. If I could have seen his face when he opened up the portfolio and saw a “D”. lol

Other than the triangles, t-square, green engineering paper, mechanical pencils, i blocked everything else out concerning drafting.

I’m GenX but wayyyyy old-fashioned. I’d prefer if everyone covered up — not necessarily head-to-toe Muzzie style, lol — but maybe with those nice, classy, swimsuits of the 40s - early 60s. I just think dressing better has so much to do with acting better. And some of the suits were soo feminine (and masculine) without shoving everything in your face.

But, I know I’m living in a fantasy-land that has long passed. Now I mostly see tattoo’d head-to-toe, zombie, half-naked, neutered, feminized men and masculinized (word?) “women.”

exactly, like the gratuitous violence ( best scary movies left the violence to your own imagination)

same with clothes. IMHO doesn’t hurt to dress like a lady.

i just tell my kids: will you be ashamed of this when you are parents, grandparents? do you want this when you are 80? will you embarrass your parents?

Yes, I completely agree! bttt! I love wearing nice long (and cool!) skirts and blouses, with nice sandals, to work in the summer. It’s a business casual environment, but way too casual the way some dress.

Belly buttons showing, definitely a no no. One of my boys told me about a girl who sat in front of him in his high school class. The girl apparently not (or maybe she did, but didn’t care) wore the extreme, low-rise jeans. His said is was disgusting to have to see that in class everyday, if you get my drift. (plumbers butt)

When I was volunteering in my kids grade school, I threatened to bring all my yucky old lady boring clothes in and give them to the nurse. the school nurse was in charge of cover up if they violated dress code. What could be more embarrassing then having to tool around jr. high in “mom clothes”? lol There were loads of girl s in there every day for dress code violations. I think a nice, linen, button up Walmart mommy dress in the most unfashionable colors might make them think properly.

Heck, now the boys (not mine) put make up on in class, during class. it’s a different world. mtv, reality tv , celeb tv world.

If I ever get my act together, my health together, and some wheels, i want to come see all you at your get togethers! and some money to pay for the wheels, gas, health....
