It worked up in Canada. One of the major reasons the Canadian government is now more conservative than the American one is because Conservatives flipped immigrants and Catholics over issues like abortion and gay marriage.

Yeah, it may have worked in Canada but in the US the growth in the Latino vote isn’t being driven by immigrants but by their children. There is a huge demographic bulge of young Latinos entering the voting pool. Like all young people, they are super-liberal. This is why the Latino vote is getting more liberal: because the percentage of young Latinos is going up.

You are overlooking something - many Hispanics live in communities rife with crime.

I believe appealing to the Rule of Law, that it protects people and their businesses/jobs, will go a very long way with the majority of Hispanics. Respect for law along with conservative social values is the way to go in order to bring minorities into the Republican Party.

Pandering and providing special threatment, the horrid “good for thee but not for me” should never be used by people of principle as it is divisive.
