PETRAEUS COLLEAGUE: Biographer Paula Broadwell 'Got Her Claws Into Him'
businessinsider.com ^ | 11/10/2012http://www.businessinsider.com/general-petraeus-affair-paula-broadwell-went-from-likable-t | Robert Johnson

I reached out to a senior military source who has worked with Petraeus, (P4) as he's referred to within the service, and who helped provide background information for Broadwell's book. I'll call the officer "James Downing"). A transcript of our conversation follows:

BI: Did anyone know about the affair before today?

James: I'm not sure anyone really "knew", per se. But it's one of those things that, as soon as the announcement was made, I knew in an instant who it was. Everything made sense. Who had exclusive access to him? Who wrote the hagiography on his life? Who framed their entire existence around his persona? It wasn't hard to make the guess, and the rest is public knowledge now. One day, she's celebrating her birthday as an accomplished (if you want to use that term) author and PhD candidate, the next she's Paula Jones.

BI: Did you know Broadwell long?

James: I've known her for a few years, probably five or six. When she started work on the bio she called me for background on one of the general's previous deployments. I probably gave her four hours or so, and we stayed in touch after that by email and an occasional phone call. Over that time, she went from someone very likeable to a shameless self-promoting prom queen. A very disturbing shift in how she carried herself. If she knew P4 was going to make an appearance at an event, she'd crash it without an invitation (she actually did this at the wedding of some close friends of mine) and photo bomb[ed] sic everyone there.

Been that way ever since, EVERYONE passes the blame on to someone else.

Bush's fault.

Do not feel sorry for Patreaus’ wife. You were kind in describing her sexual allure. I say this knowing that the missus was a full blown member of the regime, a disciple of Granny Warren. Patreaus’ wouldn't be a man if after years of going home to a birkenstock wearing Moonbat he didn't take a tumble with a physically fit MILF. I for one have no sympathy at all for any Moonbat or Layabout no matter what. If anyone wants to make fun of Mrs Patreaus the Moonbat I say have at it.

A hero of the Bible is Joseph. He RAN from Potiphar’s wife instead of staying and allowing her to tempt him to sin any further than she likely had already tempted him. - These political sorts are role models, too, but not good ones. I sympathize with Patraeus’s wife; don’t know her age, but if nearing sixty, that can be a difficult age. You just can’t compete with these women who make a career almost out of their bodies, and in some cases have boocoos of money to spend on it. . . Ha. I’ve said many times that the Hollyweird celebs who marry and divorce repeatedly that I suspect the deal is that whichever one of them is the first one to hear the other one fart; they’re the ones who can file for a divorce on the grounds of unglamourousness. . .

She is still a Major in the Army Reserve. Will be interesting to see what action, if any, the Army takes as a result of her actions. Not only the affair, but also attempting to hack P4’s personal Gmail account and perhaps others.

Valedictorian, athlete, & homecoming queen in HS. West Point grad with honors in academics, athletics, & leadership. Army intel officer, multiple college degrees, speaker, author, consultant. Married to a doctor and has two sons. And yet, she throws it all away.

Life is going to be hard for her for some time.

I could have sworn that I have heard, that conduct unbecoming of an officer, takes away your pension.

I wonder if she wanted her birth control paid for?

I too feel sorry for his wife, you do realize his wife’s connections are what jump started his successful military career? He likely married his wife because of her connections to begin with.

Petraeus cannot unmask Obama and his regime because he still has an axe hanging over his head by the Admin. They can go after Petraeus by having him demoted and/or going after his military pension on charges that he engaged in conduct unbecoming of an officer. Or other trumped up charges. Petraeus is in a perfect Catch 22, and he knows it. The worst case scenario is if Congress subpoena’s him to appear at a hearing to compel his testimony. Boy will he be in a big bind; to tell the truth or lie for the Obama Admin, that is the question. Either way he’s screwed.

No, I think 0zer0 set Petraeus up from day one. Read the NewsMax article about this. Then you realize the FBI had to know about this affair in real time. According to the article, the FBI suspected the issue in the Spring 2011. Petraeus was commander in Afghanistan at that time. 0zer0 appointed Petraeus to CIA in April 2011, but he didn’t assume the office until Sep 2011.
The article says the FBI was investigating this for months because Petraeus was sending thousands of emails to her. That had to be in 2011. This means that the FBI had to know what was going on in real time, probably as Petraeus was being vetted for the CIA post, and certainly before he was confirmed, and that is why they couldn’t believe 0zer0 wouldn’t fire this guy, let alone hire the guy.
I don’t see any explanation other than 0zer0 knew about this (or someone high up in the admin did, and didn’t tell anyone... FBI director Mueller had to know, and that means Holder had to know, and probably National Security Director Donolon). That means 0zer0 had to know, and is lying about this when the WH says they first found out about it Wednesday after the election.
I bet 0zer0 knew Petraeus was compromised when he appointed him and counted on this trump card to be used against Petraeus when he needed it, and Benghazi is it. The timeline proves it.
Whether Petraeus has any smoking gun information and will spill it is completely unknown. But for me, I am convinced that 0zer0 knew about the affair and deliberately appointed and retained an obviously compromised CIA director to have something to blackmail him with later. This explains why a compromised CIA director was ok to appoint and retain for over a year, but now a year after the affair, is a liability only because Benghazi is hitting the fan. This confirms everything you need to know about 0zer0.

She is still a Major in the Army Reserve.

Will she be court-martialed for ADULTERY ?
Adultery is punishable under Article 134,
with a maximum punishment of dishonorable discharge,
forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 1 year.

So here is another good Q for our President - when did you first know about the CIA Director's affair...and why did you keep him active despite the obvious risks?

BHO cannot afford to have another press conference ever.

Yep. This is clearly impeachable. I am normally not a tin foil hat type but this goes beyond the pale.

The Zero Admin has known that: 1) for the last six months that the Director of the CIA was in a compromised position AND 2) someone had tried to hack his email... And yet BHO allowed Petraeus to remain in his job because of the election.
