Just two days after President Barack Obama won a second term, boosted by more than 70 percent of the Latino vote, some Republicans are striking a new tone on illegal immigration.
Conservative Fox News and radio host Sean Hannity said Thursday that his views on immigration have "evolved."

Just yesterday, illegals had a protest in Michigan over the fact that our secretary of state refused to give them driver’s licenses.
One of their main complaints was about the fact that not having a license singled them out and made them afraid to vote because an ID is requested and if they don’t have one they have to sign an affidavit that they do. (Self incrimination)
Yes. We must insist on real border control methods (e-identification, no automatic birthright, guest worker program, overhaul social security cards, etc etc) and then we bite the bullert and grant amnesty to get the issue off teh table. The law must absolutely stop the bleeding through the pourous border though. If it does not, it won’t be reform. It will be surrender and that we will not do.

Fox News is a neo-conservative mouthpiece for a Republican agenda that has supported open borders for years. Hannity's views on immigration haven't evolved at all ... he's simply parroting his employer's agenda.
I say this as someone who used to work in the same building in New York City where Hannity started his career in talk radio. I've shared many an elevator ride with him, and I've done a bit of research on his background from Long Island before he became a media personality. He's a nice guy, but trust me when I tell you that Sean Hannity doesn't do his radio or television shows on his way home from Mensa meetings.

Have been hearing a lot of “hispanic call in day” on the radio since after the election. Many hispanic activists on trying to explain what went wrong with the election and why they supported Democrats.
Everything they had to say boiled down to this: We basically share a lot of values with the Republicans. We would probably BE republican voters. What the Democrats do right is and why hispanics vote for them is because they make HISPANIC INTERESTS first and foremost, above other interests.
In other words, the Latino community wants to come here, illegally, and stay here. Yes, they want a good life and share our values ... but they want the LATINO community to receive amnesty and then continue to receive special treatment. They o NOT care about our laws or the Rule of LAw. That is secondary to the “Race.” They want it to be OK for them to come here, receive amnesty, and CONTINIE to receive various benefits and special consideration for their race, and their race only.
You can hear it, if you really listen in between the lines. The democrats DO this, better than anyone else ...they create balkanized special interest groups — Latinos, gays, blacks, women, etc ....it’s just one more in a long line of the splintering of the nation.
I say to them: SCREW you, Latino community!!! Get in the back of the line and ENFORCE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS!! NO group should receive special treatment above all others ...every American gets the same chance and you can work it if you have the brains, guts, and ambition and come here legally — Not the American way, pals!

The Problem is that the GOP refuses to, or is afraid to look at the real world (and their too busy stuffing cash in their own pockets).
I don’t know what will save us (taxpayers) other than us saving ourselves.
Sean is a RINo, liberal republican, I have stopped watching his show or listening to his radio program. Anyone who says people like Juan or Beckel are nice people and count them as friends is not a conservative. Liberal are destroying our country, there is NOTHING nice about them.

What a load of hogwash. Americans have been the most generous nation on earth. Why can't we say we've had enough? According to you and others like you there is an endless supply of money and jobs in the U.S. so why not let them in. We need to stop ALL immigration now - especially the hispanics from third world countries. They are all peons from a peon class and stay that way.
I work with them. One lady has been here over 25 years and I still can't understand a damn thing she says. Another from Dominican who has been here over 15 years and in completely unintelligible in English. Yeah, they want to better themselves. Only if it's at our expense.
My children, God forgive me, will learn how much I despise these people for their culture and thieving ways. Some of them are nice one on one but together they are a cancer on our country. And, I'm talking ONLY about the hispanics that invade our country. You don't see Poles, Germans, Asians, etc. acting like these detritus.

Texas doesn't vote for amnesty, no amnesty in Texas.
New York votes for amnesty, amnesty in New York.
To get around legalities call it “sanctuary”. States can vote not to enforce immigration laws in their state freeing up Immigration agents for other states.
They want em, let em have them.
I live and pay taxes in a state which spends 12-16 billion a year on services to illegals and which provides incentives for people to come and stay here illegally. Here’s my tax reform proposal.
Enforce current laws.
Shore up border security.
Support Arizona and other states where kidnapping and other crimes have increased, and there have been contracts put out on police officers.
Secure parks near the border so that they can be safely used by citizens.
Proof of citizenship for voting, employments, driver licenses, school registration etc.
No public funded services except transportation home and any emergency medical care to get you there.
No federal funds to states or cities which do not help enforce immigration laws.
Arrest public figures and others who conspire to violate immigration laws.
Expedite employer requests for foreign workers where a strong case can be made that there are not sufficient works available for their industry and where they can demonstrate adequate effort to find employees.
Drastically reduce immigration from countries which have a large percentage of their population which are religious fanatics or where the government is run my religious fanatics: Somalia, Iran, Egypt. No immigration of “Palistinians” or members of groups such as Hamas, Hesbollah, Muslim Brotherhood, liberals (just to see if you’re still reading).

It’s time to compromise on immigration. All we need to get out of this is border security. A fence, drones, cameras, sensors, agents, (whatever we want), in return for pseudo amnesty. Call it whatever you want as long as you don’t call it amnesty. I don’t care if it IS amnesty. We HAVE TO be on the right side of immigration reform. They are not all going to self deport. We are not going to uproot or split up families. We are not going to deport adults who were brought here as children. We are STUCK on stupid on this issue. We are not going to kick these people out.
THEY ARE ALREADY HERE. DEAL WITH IT. We need to STEAL this issue from the Demoncrats. Again we win. We get what we want, (border security) and they get what is already the status quo and WE take credit for it.
Have a retroactive drop dead date, say 11/10/2012, and then enforce immigration to the letter of the law. ZERO tolerance. If you can’t PROVE you were here prior to the drop dead date, YOU GO BACK.
Illegals will come out of the shadows, get documentation, have a chance at FUTURE citizenship. Remember, THEY ARE ALREADY HERE and they aren’t going back, voluntarily or otherwise. Can you handle the TRUTH?
Let’s make these WINNING issues for US. As it stands now, we are the biggest losers.
