I’m libertarian and I don’t make pro-choice/pro-life the single issue that determines my preferred candidate.

I knew it, you're no conservative and you're certainly no Ronald Reagan. Bottom line is, caving in on core conservative values is the very moment when you have crossed the line into liberalism.

Yea, and Ronald Reagan did so well in overturning Roe V. Wade. It seems Ronald Reagan was pro-life in spirit and not a single issue politician as you would like. Ditto with GB1 and GB2. Seems like being pro-life in spirit but not expecting to overturning abortion is the party norm.

And you don’t have a monopoly on the definition of conservative. Heck, you’re probably not conservative yourself, but rather a fundamentalist. A fundamentalist being to the GOP what a Liberal is to the DEM — the extreme fringe of the party.

The original post was about splitting the party vote and my original response was about there being no Quantum Politics. To get to one side from the other, you have to cross the middle. You’re quantum politics just doesn’t work.

Cause that worked out really well for Akin, right? Thinking like that makes us look like frothing lunatics and voters sprint to the other side as fast as they can.
The Akins and Murdochs of this election cycle were a millstone that was hung on Romney’s neck. Like it or not, this is the fact of the matter. And this is not caving. It’s accepting reality. Akin and Murdoch pissed people off with their clumsy worded answers to stupid questions. And they were too stupid to get out of the race after their stupidity. And anyone associated with them is also hung out to dry. You want to start winning races? Stop pissing people off. Simple as that. Don’t get into the abortion debate.
