Well said. Plenty of authoritarian countries have elections. Like them, we have the privilege of giving the Dear Leader a mandate every four years.
The modern purpose of Congress is to give Him the imprimatur, the legitimacy of the people.
Levin I believe, is noodling State based opposition. Perhaps he will promote a Constitutional Convention, or at least the threat of one.
