The Russians have always been a religious people. Once the depraved soviets were out of the way, they were able to return to their roots. Consider this. The Russian word for Sunday is and always has been воскресенье, which means Resurrection. When the Soviet Union was dissolved, the people of St. Petersburg immediately petitioned the new Russian Federation to change the name of their city back from Leningrad to St. Petersburg, named for the Apostle Peter. Around 2001, the communist Sickle and Hammer has been replaced on all official documentation, including passports, with the Imperial Crest of the Tsar. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d3/Standard_of_the_Russian_Tsar.png The crest features the Roman double-eagle, St. George slaying the dragon, and the Cross of Christ.

Let me try that with paragraphs.

Around 2001, the communist Sickle and Hammer has been replaced on all official documentation, including passports, with the Russian Imperial Standard.

The crest features the Roman double-eagle, St. George slaying the dragon, and the Cross of Christ.

Here is a modern passport of the Russian Federation.

A lot of American ministers have been going over there the last 20 years. My church in Virginia has a church in Russia also. They have reached a lot of people with the gospel. Not saying the didn’t have any of that before.
