“They are not looking for REAL jobs. They are trying to get work with the city.”
That’s right; misleading title. Should read: “workfare lottery”...
“Be that as it may, were always going to have government jobs. Having said that, most of them are overpaid and under worked.”
We’ve lost a lot of them over the past few years due to our property tax freeze in NJ; a lot of people looking to get on the gubmint gravy train are either still unemployed or have moved to another state.
“Many people there want jobs.”
One reason I’m puzzled so MANY of the parasites voted Dem this election is that life on the dole would be crushing for anyone with a semblance of dignity or independence. I agree that many people aren’t having as much fun on “funemployment” as the media would have us believe.
There is something to be said for providing for yourself (and a family in some cases) with wages that are notably better than a welfare check. One of the reasons the permanent urban underclass doesn’t want to work is the fact that the wages they could earn are probably not much better than the monthly check (and they don’t even have to get out of their pajamas).
This just confirms, IMO, that they vote on the color of the skin and are clueless about government and how it works. We can blame our wonderful educational institutes for this.
SUCKERS!!!
