As a private citizen he can be called but cannot be compelled to testify in detail without clearing everything with the CIA first.

If true, that as a private citizen he has to clear testimony with the CIA first, then he should have resigned after his testimony.

I believe this is the case.

And the point of the resignation would be to do so before being asked to testify, for the purpose of inhibiting testimony. At least going by this theory.

We’ll see.

Did anyone find it odd that he asked for “permission” to resign? Is that normal?

Or maybe a threat was intoned to him first like how to testify and he asked can I resign instead.
