CIA Director David Petraeus resigned over an extramarital affair, according to a letter he sent to CIA staff. The news was confirmed by Press Secretary Jay Carney in a briefing this afternoon.
Slate's Fred Kaplan quickly reported that the affair was with Paula Broadwell — Gen. Petraeus' biographer who was embedded with him in Afghanistan. Now, NBC is reporting that the FBI has been investigating Broadwell, fearing that she had access to some confidential information.

My guess is, she’s a Dem mole. Her mission was to engulf Petraeus in an affair to neutralize him.
She was embedded with Patraeus and titled his biography “All In.”

They investigate HER for possible yata, yata, yata......while Oblamer, et al in the White House spilled their guts with all sorts of highly classified info they thought might make them look hairy-chested, to the extent that it got one of our helicopters shot down and numerous Navy SEALs killed......and all we hear is crickets chirping.
It doesn't. It only delays him doing so this Thursday but he may be subpoened to come before the committee if and when they see fit.

John Bachelor appeared on Kudlow and said something about rumors that there were rumors that the Obama administration was concerned when he was in Afghanistan as a possible rival.
I thnk the timing of all of this is just very smelly....
I think we will hear much more on how this might tie in with Benghazi.
She’s probably under contract for the NSA or another shadowy agency, all along. Her body is a bit too tempting to have been coincidentally in that position with Petraeus (so to speak..LOL)
Broadwell was “in bedded” with Petraes in Afghanistan. Hmm, some guys take there mistresses to the Four Seasons or a Hilton, Broadwell got a dusty tent in a land not listed on Trip Advisor. I guess it classifies as an “exotic, sandy location”.
I am a bit surprised this didn’t get picked up on his vetting for the CIA position. I thought all senior government officials got vetted by the FBI. (Remember, these were the FBI files that were in the Clinton White House a number of years back that Clintoon had on his political rivals. It’s how they took down some Congressional leaders when they opposed Clinton.) It either means they didn’t vet him, or he mislead them during the vetting process.

O’s government is running guns to drug cartels in Mexico and Honduras, running guns to Al Qaeda all across the middle east, and Petraeus steps down because of an affair they knew about before he became CIA director.
Because we can run guns to mafia and terrorists but our spymaster has to be squeaky clean while he does it.

OK, I real it all and the FBI accidentally found this while investigating something else, and they looked into it to see if there was anything being seen by Paula Broadwell accidentally that might be classified info. and found nothing. Petraeus has been sending thousands of emails to her evidentally from his office since the FBI found them.
The two of them had an affair and the FBI has found no cloak and dagger secret spy problem. It was just an affair but a CIA director can’t do that but he did.
YEP, how convenient for O. People are going to have such a low opinion of him now...see, he was not/is not trustworthy, therefore, Benghazi has to be his fault.....
I always thought Pelosi had set honey traps on people in congress to “control” them. Nothing else could explain the control she has on them.

I’m hearing now on CNN that the woman broke up with him months ago and he kept sending thousands of emails to her using his military email. Very bad.
After close to 20 years, the FBI has given up on vetting.
On the contrary, I think he was about to rat out the administration over the Benghazi affair; they attempted to blackmail him, and he decided it was better to admit to adultery than to be blackmailed.
She's also a US Military Academy West Point graduate who is married and is the mother of two children.

Not sure if Broadwell was a setup but yes, Petraeus is the fall gay for Benghazi.
They will out him now for the affair and they will claim that there may have been a security breech.
And the 50% of the people in this country who are sheeple will buy it.
Was Ms Broadwell paid to diddle the good General for an as-yet undisclosed reason ... or maybe, with the resignation, the reason has been disclosed.
I also wonder if Obama's victory on Tuesday didn't throw a monkey-wrench into a "blackmail" scenario that was intended to keep Petraeus quiet in the event Romney won.
Patraeus was then offered a choice between being arrested for treason or copping to the phony affair and retiring.
It was just reported that the affair was discovered during an ongoing unrelated FBI investigation of Petraeus. I would suspect the Obama crew has ongoing investigations of anyone they may not completely trust or anyone they might need some information on for purposes just like coverups.

I agree IMR. People would do well to not forget what the Clintons’ are capable of. We haven’t seen the last of them. I tend to forgot them and their minions when they are under the radar. I made that mistake just lately with Clinton’s “Toe Sucker.” I wanted Obama out of the White House so bad, I was lapping up the bogus polling information from that evil little troll Dick Morris (my mind conveniently forgetting that he helped run Odinga’s (Bamster’s cousin)campaign in Kenya. Won’t make that mistake ever again. Just DAMN!

FBI found she didn’t and she had called off the affair months ago but he kept sending thousands of emails from his military email and the FBI found all that.
The General should have quit BEFORE the election if they had the goods on him.
