Robert Lapsley is a worried man.
For one thing, he warned a group of business leaders in San Francisco Thursday, you'd better start meeting with your tax advisers right away. That's because - if you didn't already know - those tax increases on the wealthy passed by state voters this week are retroactive, meaning some people will be coughing up more taxes on income earned this year.
Add to that the possible end of the federal Bush-era tax cuts, and the elimination or cutting back of other tax breaks and loopholes, and the money starts to seriously add up.
The president of the California Business Roundtable didn't stop there. The state's cap-and-trade program, scheduled to take effect next week, will cost heavy industry as much as $3 billion in its first year of operation, and up to $6 billion a year by 2015 to purchase mandated emission allowances, he says. With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, he says, health care costs for many businesses are also likely to rise.

Cap and trade may just shut us all down.
Come to Ga. to run your business.
An invitation from Indiana for all California businesses:
We just elected a Tea Party backed governor and R supermajority in both houses of state govt.
RTW passed in 2012.
But keep their liberal employees away!
Elections have consequences. (I need a hot key for that phrase). Join many other former CA businesses and come to Texas, but layoff the liberal employees and leave them there. Don’t worry, the Nanny State will take care of them.
Come to Michigan, but leave the damn liberalism at the border.
Next year kali-fornia will pass this:

I’m thinking Directive 10-289 is scheduled to be implemented during Hillary’s 2nd term.
I read “Atlas Shrugged”. Now I’m living it. Yikes!
Now Im living it

Shut down all private business in America and shut down this “santa clause” (give your money away) government until you bring it down on its knees!
Then and only then will Americans’ wake up to the fact that it is NOT government that creates wealth in this Nation, but, hard working American business owners that do and they are no longer going to put up with being robbed by government to give to the welfare rats for their votes on election day!
Massive business strike will bring this Leviathan to a stand still! The US House does not have the guts to stand up for you business owners, you will need to stand up for your selves!
We are Americans! there is nothing we can't do!!!!
Gay marriage and sluthood was worth it. :)
I want to see all the hollywierdos taxed into sheds.
