Hurricane Sandy destroyed much of the North East power infrastructure. Customers wonder "Why weren't the utilities ready". Angry customers want all infrastructure underground. Governors want answers. Why are the utilities so bad? And how does this relate to the affordable care act?

While Obama hurriedly destroys wealth, the masses come up with countless new ways to spend money we won’t have.
When government runs a “business”:
1. they don’t need to meet a budget (the taxpayer is the limitless source of funds)
2. they don’t need to hire talented people to remain competitive (they don’t need to compete, so hiring cronies works well)
3. they never have to turn a profit (see #1)
4. they never have to meet quality metrics (because they don’t have any competition)
This is true whether its utilities (not government run, but government supported monopolies), FEMA, or healthcare.
If things don’t turn around, we will be just like Greece, without the beautiful columns.
