1.) Get stupid Republicans to vote for a tax increase.
2.) Run Democrats against those Republicans and attack the stupid Republicans for “raising taxes”!
There should be no meeting. The republican response should be submit a budget and we will all vote present.
What would be the danger/benefit of having everyone in the GOP vote “present?”
Just like when Republicans voted for the bail-out and Democrats in conservative districts got the opt-out OK by Pelosi.
Republicans should vote present when the tax increase comes to a vote and let Dems vote yes all by themselves. That way they get full credit for ‘saving’ the country.
