Good post...some food for thought tho..

Listening to descriptions of how “Democrats got out their ground game” with “superior ability to bring those to the polls who normally would never go” by the commentators on Fox election night..made me realize..what they actually have done is track names that HAVE NOT VOTED IN MANY, MANY elections cycles....and vote them.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/23/No-Car-Finds-2-214-Registered-Voters-110-Years-of-Age-Older

A well-funded project, county-by-county..to examine the names signed in at at the polls..and going out to find those individuals..you’ll find they were never physically at he polls..or they themselves never filled out the absentee ballot....or their names in the death registers.

the core of our challenge is to clean up the precincts.

We are continuing to give permission for our own dienfranchisement by not doing so.

That’s a “polite” way of saying they go into the assisted living/retirement/rehab/alzheimers care centers with absentee ballots prefilled for Obama and get people that cannot even tell you their names most days to sign the ballots presented.

Their “ground game” is MUCH better in urban areas where it is easy to get “Holders people” to ride a bus/train from one polling station to the next...

I’ve never been for a national id but this requires it to ensure one person one vote.

Hmm...You just made me think of the scam perpetrated on the old folks in “Chinatown.”

The only strategy that wins is one fought on multiple fronts. I beleive the Hearts and Minds approach is one of those but, a very important part.

That’s part of the problem with the RNC, they think in terms of a singular plan of attack. They need to assault on all fronts. They need a detailed and complete plan from January of 2013 to election day.

Pouting and wringing hands and singing the “game over” death knell is wasted effort and does nothing to turn the tide....

AND THE TIDE CAN BE TURNED!

How in the hell can so many people fall for the checkmate attitude when TWO SHORT YEARS AGO, conservatives had the dems on the ropes???

RANGER UP, BOYS AND GIRLS.

KNOCK OFF THE PITY PARTY, MOVE OUT AND DRAW FIRE.

This was an email sent out by the Obama campaign on Nov. 4 and posted on Free Republic that day.

Interesting how it fits in with your suppositions ...

“Friend —

This is cool:

You can see exactly how many people named the same as you have already voted.

Take a look at that. Then share it with your friends so they can see how many people with their names have voted, too — and look up their polling place.

Bottom line: We need every person with your name — and everyone else, too — to make it out to the polls to support President Obama.

So help get the word out — and the vote:

Thanks,

Yohannes”

Hmm ...

Obama received TEN MILLION fewer votes in ‘12 than in ‘08.

That’s hardly a genius ground game!
