re: “God in Heaven has answered our prayers...but not the answer we hoped and prayed for. . . But HE IS IN CHARGE, and He knows what He is doing.”

I agree with everything you said in your post except the part about blaming God for the election results. God gives us free will, He allows us to make choices. Our country made a choice - a very bad one - and, we are going to have to endure the consequences of that choice.

Yes, God is ultimately in control, but He did not choose Hitler, or Lenin, or Stalin, or Mao - man did that. God allows man to make free moral choices - God is able to carry out His will IN SPITE of those choices. Not everything that happens is what God wanted, yet His will cannot be thwarted. How He does this I don’t know, but notice what Jesus said about Jerusalem in Luke 13:34 -

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!”

Jesus wanted to gather the people of Jerusalem to Himself, but they refused. How can it be that His will was to gather them, but they could refuse? Doesn’t God’s will always happen? Isn’t He “in control”?

The answer is it’s because God gives us the freedom to choose that allows us to disobey Him. Does that mean God’s will is helpless - absolutely not! God always works things out to conform to His ultimate will.

God will help us through good and bad times. This is definitely one of the bad times. I heard someone say recently that there are hurtful, harmful things that God allows us to experience because of either our choices or others bad, sinful choices, but what He chooses not to remove, He will help us endure. This I do believe.

I realize many may not agree with me on this, but I just feel God gets blamed for a lot of bad stuff that we do - not Him.

I am not blamimng God. We as a nation made this choice.

We prayed, and worked our hearts out, and sought His help...and I believe He gave it...just not in the way we imagine. That’s all.

He allowed us to make this choice and did not intervene. He has intervened at times in history...but we are not ready for, or His plan does not call for it now.

So, I hope you understand my stance. My point is that whatever case, we have to accept God’s will and work with it and progress from there. He is not molded by our desires, we are modled by His and once we as a people turn to those rightous desires He has for us, we will see progress as a people.

In the mean time we do not falter. We continue to work our hearts out for the day that becomes a reality.
