I agree. Let it crash. It's early, in four years, the electorate will have forgotten the who, what, when, etc. Believe me, they will! Clintoon raised taxes, retroactively, at the beginning of his first term (so that I, for the only time in my life, actually owed still more when I filed) and by '96, the people had forgot all about it (and re-elected him).

Crash it, repeat ad nauseum that it's the Dems fault. The media, of course, will blame the Repubs, but they always do and will do so in this case, no matter what, anyway. Start talking a recovery game and do it for the next four years until people say, "I keep hearing about that." and they'll start to pay attention.

Either that, or use the crash to tell the libs to take their part of the country and start their own, we'll clean up the mess here and carry on.
