NOTE THE CHART....
It drove up almost 40 points, in just 4 months...

Keep the masses falsely confident and they will reelect Obama. I said it months ago, and I’ll say that again. All of that media bulls**t worked. People were convinced by the TV not to believe their own lying eyes.

Now, the hangover of reality is about to set in.

Give the mainstream media credit, they have managed to elect this guy, TWICE. The pain is going to be ignored by them now, though.

"More consumers expected good rather than bad times financially in the economy in early November, not only for the year ahead but over the next five years as well,"

Most people thought Romney was going to win. So many thought it was going to be a landslide, they didn't even bother to stand in line. In my opinion, even Oboma thought Romney had it in the bag. No one expected a freeloader tsunami (and probably massive fraud which will eventually be exposed)

Now that Oboma has been put back in charge, those numbers will go back down. People are still shocked that THE worst president in American history has been given 4 more years to destroy us completely.

“Do we believe all these reports or our lying eyes? And, no questioning by anyone. All rah rah rah. Pure BS.”

If you DARE to question it, you must be a RASSISS, or a ‘phobe, or sumpin’.

Or a soon-to-be-unemployed former member of the mainstream media.

Plenty of Freepers right on this very site expected this.

What’s the methodology and did it evenly weight takers and makers?

Who are these people speaking with? I realize there is a lot of ignorance in this county. But are people deaf and blind as well. Rising grocery, energy and gas prices don’t give them pause because even if you receive assistance, the funny money the govt gives out still purchases less. Much less. And you know the 23 million who are still jobless in this country surely cannot be feeling optimistic.

Yeah, but not the average working man. It would be insane for people to reelect Oboma. Who would want 4 more years of misery? Who would want it made even worse?

I believe people thought Romney had it in the bag. Many thought the rest of the voters had their backs and didn't bother standing in line themselves. Hopefully, people will learn from this.

“U.S. Consumer Sentiment,” what does this mean? People can believe whatever they want, it doesn’t make it so. The same people surveyed are probably the same idiots who voted for Obama and are absolutely clueless about the economy and where it is going.

Every BLS report shows a loss of median individual and household income over the last 5 years.

The new wave of health insurance and state and federal tax increasing coming in January are very close to taking 100% of the median household’s expendable income.

Three scenarios here,
1. The Consumer Confidence Index is broken.
2. The BLS household and individual income reporting process is broken.
3. The majority of American consumers are completely ignorant of the new waves of taxes, fees, and purchasing power depreciation through the Treasury and Federal Reserve that started last Wednesday.

I believe the Consumer Confidence Index is broken. Not sure if the BLS is that far off, and I am sure that the vast majority of Americans have no idea about the wave of new taxes and inflation in basic necessities by the Fed and Treasury Dept.

“I believe the Consumer Confidence Index is broken.”

It isn’t broken, it has been manipulated by an enemy mainstream media. Remember how every little uptick in ANYTHING was applauded as “SIGNS OF RECOVERY!!!”, while reality was completely ignored?

Folks, THE REAL ENEMY HERE IS THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA, and the Orwellian propaganda we have been bombarded with for almost three decades now. Don’t you get it, yet?

My confidence was headed up when I started thinking that Romney was going to win and the dems might be out of power.

I suspect that by February a very different story could be told....

Yep. All our money is going to go to.....us!
No more spending. No more consumer taxes, no more state and federal taxes will be coming in from from businesses - at least not with our help. .

We're going to keep giving to us and only us.

Left the democrat base starve. It's the only thing they've ever actually "earned."
