Republicans will continue to be vilified and they will continue to run weak candidates until there are simply no more Republicans in office (look at California). And decades later when we our society is in ashes they will continue to be blamed and the masses will still listen.

That's an argument to start a third party no matter the argument that such a path leads to sure defeat against the Rats. Alternatively, stop pulling the wagon and go Galt. Stop the motor of the world and aid the collapse against a possible future in some new world after the conflagration.
