Heads up! I got to thinking about the ephemeral nature of some links, and the length of time which has passed since I made the link in question - and, sure enough, the link in the FR posting I pointed you to is broken. But the same PDF file is still available, with the similar but distinct address http://www.iea.org.uk/sites/default/files/publications/files/upldbook43pdf.pdfI have added that notation to the FR thread I originally referenced - but of course that doesnt correct the broken link at the top of the thread.
Additional significant note:In addition to the Readers Digest condensed book, the PDF file also contains a cartoon version of the outline of Hayeks argument. That could be a hook to get your students to read the condensed version, at least, of Serfdom. If youre limited in the amount of reading you can assign, maybe you could just direct your students to see the cartoon - and hope that they take the bait!
