I’d be curious about how many GOP majorities there are in state legislatures these days. Michigan, Indiana, and Arkansas are 3 I know of but there are several more.

Now imagine what the US Senate would look like if it weren’t for the 17th amendment. Every one of those states would have 2 GOP senators.

Wisconsin regained GOP control of the state senate and even gained a seat in the Assembly. On the agenda for next term are more election reforms, change of venue for lawsuits against state government, and even discussions of possible tax cuts.

Another small silver lining - Barney Frank is no longer in Congress, though too bad it wasn’t because of electoral defeat.
