I saw the author who wrote LEADING FROM BEHIND on tv. He said that Valerie Jarrett kept canceling the raid to get Bin Laden because she was afraid of having another DESERT 1. This is where the American rescue effort for the hostages from the American Embassy in Iran fell apart. I remember watching an Iranian playing around with the blackened bones of an American Soldier. Valerie Jarrett thinks that DESERT 1 caused Jimmy Carter to lose re-election. I believe the decision was made at that 5pm meeting at the White House to not send military rescue. And that decision was based strictly on the fear the Obama administration had that failure could cost them the election. There was no concern for the thirty plus Americans in Benghazi. Better they die than the Democrats lose the election. And now we have this brave American as our leader for another four years.
There's no doubt in my mind that Obama refused permission for political reasons with the upcoming election.
