I’ve seen all the efforts in Germany with wind energy. The emphasis there is that if you buy into a wind-energy cartel...you get tax credits as a member of the cartel. Then you get dividends each year of roughly two to three percent. It’s hard to say if it’s really worth the effort. Nothing is truly dependable and you really have to do research into regions where you want to place the wind turbines. Probably fifty percent of the US would be lousy choices.
I think, having some background, that solar and nuclear will win at the end; wind needs a lot of space.
Solar research is going on to be more and more efficient, and nuclear, as demonized as it is, will eventually be one of the answers once the safety concerns are addressed.
I am no expert at this, just read a bit, and think without a lot of emotional attachment.
