Bill O’Reilly: If the Economy Does Not Turn Around, the Democrat Party Will “Evaporate” (Video)
Gateway Pundit ^ | November 8,2012 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 11/08/2012 2:13:51 PM PST by Hojczyk

Bill O’Reilly suggested last night that the Democrat Party may have some trouble if they can’t turn things around.

“If the economy does not turn around, you can forget about the Democratic Party. They’re going to just evaporate. The people have been very generous to Barack Obama. The American people have been very generous to him. They’re giving him another chance. If he fails now. Believe me.”

The only way our country will turn around is for it to crash and burn. I doubt we will ever elect a conservative president until this occurs. I have no doubts whatever is left after 0 will be scrapped under 8 years of hillary.

I stopped viewing O’Reilly when he predicted Hillary didn’t have a chance to win a Senate seat from NY. The man is an idiot.

I knew different, as did anyone with a lick of sense. I guess he never heard of Bobby Kennedy’s little foray into NY politics.

-- HALF of the country wants FREE STUFF Paid for by the OTHER HALF! --

I think it's worse than that. 80% takers, 20% makers. The takers are so stupid, it took them this long to figure out that if half of them vote for the taker party, they get more stuff for free.

This is what happens when in 4 years you add 13 million to food stamps and a couple of million more to disabilty rolls. 15 million votes is alot of a headstart to overcome. The House must defund the welfare funding or no amount of tv ads and organizing will win.

We have millions who rather sit home and collect a little money than go out and make much more.

Your point is VERY GOOD! The best hopeful solution for the short-term, I’ve read. If if gets bad enough...and it will, the only hope lies in the huge amount
of citizens that don’t vote now, but will begin to care enough to participate
in righting this one great nation.

Once again the Obama loving O’Reilly is talking out of his south end.

Democrats just reelected a disaster of a president, who destroyed the economy in four years and made this country the laughing stock of the world.

The mindless Obamabots that put him back in office did it because he is their Sugar Daddy, he gives them anything they want, without working for it. Everything is free, free.

If this bum was reelected two days ago as damn bad as he is, another democrat will do the exact same thing in 2016.
O’Reilly is clueless. Democrat supporters could care less how bad of a president you are.

Never forget that Bush gave us Obama. If he had been a conservative and not a big government RINO, there is no way in hell Obama or any other democrat would have won in 2008. Bush’s lasting legacy to the country was his gift of the communist Obama.

Yep. Even if the legions of Obama voters become “homeless” are reduced to rags and have to resort to dumpster diving; the MSM will continue to trumpet it as “Bush’s fault” and only publicize favorable-sounding articles about “the first black President”. Looking and sounding ignorant doesn’t faze them.

I have been watching NCIS re-runs since Wednesday. I check the news occasionally to see if Henry Bowman has checked in.

“does anyone see and understand Greece? their economy has collasped. have the takers in Greece woken up one day and said, wow, better stop voting for corrupt politicians who steal other people’s money and give it to us, and get back to work?”

Correct analogy. We can continue to roll down hill economically till we live in the squalor that characterizes the life of most people in India, the Philippines, China, Zimbabwe, or in any other populous and poor nation. You might expect the US will follow the path of most of these countries in which income goes off-the-books and government corruption becomes standard operating procedure. For example, in Greece most people don’t actually pay their taxes and a large portion of the population works for the govt plus is a member of a socialist union. In the third world, a govt job is considered a license to extort the local population. And in each of these countries, the voting population cries out for the government to solve every problem and to “help the people” while being essentially powerless to help themselves. Consider the Philippines, where the voting population is especially fond of electing actors because of some strong and brave role the actor plays. This eventually leads to an incompetent and corrupt person holding elected office and the voting public getting the shaft. In a typical country in North Africa, the president appears on TV to give a speech by emerging from a cloud of smoke, much like the Wizard of OZ.

I am trying to be honest when stating that I think half of American voters have chosen to embrace a modern third world political philosophy. The 21st century Democrat party philosophy—which is a confusing neo-Bolshevik, illogical, sex-centered, welfare happy, reduced freedome, anti-business, hate-thy-neighbor, quasi-religion. It will diminish prosperity in the US, but they will follow it straight into the gutter and bite anybody who doesn’t like it. The dems, like the Greeks, will not wake up and reject their philosophy. When the funds run dry, they will just double down and make things even worse.

The Dems will win in 2016 and many elections afterwards. The economy doesn’t matter.

Boy, have you ever come around. You were always right about demographics, of course, but it seemed like you thought there was some kind of rationale solution if we just appealed to logic, honor, history, culture, etc. But, there was never any hope of solution, because it is part & parcel of the overall strategy to reshape this country - and reap tremendous profits doing so.

However, and this is a big however, the economy does matter. Denninger has been on top of this all along, but the most important element is that deficit spending is now producing a net negative return. What does this mean?

Classical Keynes has always considered aggregate demand the primary goal, in that it mattered little (at least according to theory) whether 315 million people acted independently in decisions regarding savings, investment & consumption or whether gov't acted collectively in their behalf.

But, it does turn out there is a difference: individuals are careful with their money. (Duh) The net effect is that a $1 spent into the economy typically had a multiplier impact of 2-5x. When gov't spends, people have no such restraint, so not only is the initial multiplier diminished, but over time, it actually goes negative. (For example, today $1 of debt produces around 50 cents of growth.)

What this means in the big picture is that the $trillions printed and handed out to insiders is now returning a net loss to the final recipients, such as those receiving welfare, SNAP, UE, SS, Medicare, etc.

Without a truly productive underlying economy, you can only run this game so far before it collapses. The collapse of course will bring wage/price controls, rationing, etc. It will require, by necessity, war power type executive orders to enforce.

What does this mean in the big picture? Well, that which is unsustainable cannot last, but the road back is going to be nasty, brutish & long. No one is getting out of this the easy way. We may never live to see a return of the republic, but it will resume in some form or fashion after reality bats last.

Wrong Bill. It won’t be 53/47 in 2016, the teat-leeches will be more than the producers. The dems will continue in power until this county burns ala Greece - and we start over.

Nonsense, people who vote Democrat don’t care about the economy. They don’t care about jobs, they only care about keeping the freebies coming.

Yep, you nailed it!

If the "blame Bush" meme ever runs out of steam, the Dems & the MSM will just transfer the blame over to "those obstructionist Tea Party Republicans" in the House.

It's how/why Harry Reid - the leader of the Senate that hasn't voted on and approved a budget in over 3 years! - can say with a straight face that this election meant the voters want the Republicans to stop being so hard-headed in their opposition to Obama & the caring Democrats in Congress.

Not really. The Dems will successfully hang their failures around the neck of the Republican House. The media will assist them. The Pubbies aren’t able to counter the meme.

The MSM has spent four years covering up more screw-ups by this regime than most administrations could make in a century of governing. By this time they do it instinctively, and given the election results, the majority of the proles in the country are only too happy to buy into it.

The country will stay in the doldrums for four more years, and it will be the fault of (pick and choose as needed):

-failed policies of Bush and Reagan
-a do-nothing Republican Congress
-the greedy rich who keep everyone else down
-Wall Street tycoons who manipulate the economy
-residual economic disruption from Sandy (and whatever other natural disasters that follow)
-the racists in society who refuse to given our leader a fair shake
-small business owners who won’t pay their fair share of taxes
-failure to curb global warming
-lack of cooperation from the yahoos who cling to guns and religion
-when all else fails, the Jooooze (cleverly disguised as neo-cons)
