There will be a lot of pressure on the GOP to not be obstructionist, but sequestration must happen. The tax hikes will hurt but they will be across the board and hit many of the 47 percenters. It will also trigger spending cuts, which as we all know never actually follow the compromise tax hikes as promised. Furthermore, since it can happen in the lame duck session it should have minimal effect on the next election. We need to call our congressmen and demand it happen. It’s really the only “bipartisan” solution that has anything close to a chance of creating reform.
What makes the win for barry obama most devastating is this:
OBAMA DOES NOT WANT A HEALTHY U.S. ECONOMY!
Hey, he won with a lousy economy, what is the incentive to do anything differently? Getting the economy “back on track” does nothing to support his stated goals? Does it? Please correct me if I’m wrong, someone.
As another FReeper said....
I kind of feel sorry for Obama. Look at the mess he inherited.
Massive tax increases, higher food prices, higher gas prices, down sizing military, backing away from Israel leaving them to the Arabs, huge layoffs coming as a results of Obamacare, high unemployment, more to come.
Work on your own sustenance and self sufficiency—every little bit helps.
When he crashes his behemoth into an iceberg with all his moochers and looters, we’ll have all the life boats.
What tough road? The country is already basically destroyed. It will be easy to finish his goal.
Obama can count on the Senate and the limp wristed Republicans in the House to be his bitch. Count on that!
