Stop insulting them. Stop lumping them in to the same category. Same with hispanics. Yesterday someone said here that if we run Rubio in 2016 we will get the hispanic vote. That person has no idea what he is talking about. Hispanics do not vote for a candidate because they are hispanic. They vote for the person they think is best for this country. I worked for Henry Bonilla for years. His district was huge. From where I live, NW Bexar County, to El Paso. He never, ever got the hispanic vote. It is insulting to say they vote for a hispanic name. They do not. No more than we vote for anglo saxons because they are anglo saxons.
Republicans are deluded if they believe that altering their views on immigration and amnesty will win them more Hispanic votes. Ronald Reagan signed a one-time amnesty in 1986, but that did not change the fact that the majority of Hispanics still vote Democrat. The reality is that historically the majority of immigrants, not only Hispanics, vote Democrat. Unless the Republican Party can slow down the immigration numbers, it will be the permanent minority party or become just another wing of the Democrat Party.
Hispanics are a natural constituency for Dems. They have a 50% out of wedlock birthrate and the highest school dropout rates of any group. 57% of immigrant headed households are on at least one major welfare program. Is it any wonder they vote two to one for the Dems?
Who? Who is “them”?
