The Breitbart News Network and Judicial Watch partnered with Public Opinion Strategies to conduct an election night survey that included 800 respondents contacted by land line (70%) and cell phone (30%). The partisan breakdown was D+3, within the margin of national exit polls, which suggested a D+6 electorate. The margin of error was 3.46%.
For example, voters dislike big government, with 71% agreeing (and 49% strongly agreeing) that: The larger the size of government the more opportunities it creates for possible corruption. In addition, 85% of voters said they were concerned about corruption in Washington, and 53% described themselves as very concerned.
Yet voters do not trust Republicans more than Democrats to deal with corruption.
Voters responses suggest that the American public agrees with conservative policies--but does not trust the Republican Party to implement them.

“Conservative on issues” + “voted for Obama” = “bipolar electorate”
There is enough corruption in the Obama admin. to use for many attack ads but none of it was used.
When will our candidates stop being afraid to attack!!

No, they don’t dislike big government. They are just concerned about the opportunities created for corruption as government increases in size. They just don’t want somebody getting the stolen loot that was intended for them.
It is just party and race politics. How many of us live in a town with high taxes and corrupt democrats and the people do their thing and are sure to vote dem every year. It’s not bipolar they just don’t really care.
Let me use this example to point out something that I think might be so obvious we’ve been missing it all along:
Example:
The larger the size of government the more opportunities it creates for possible corruption.
People overwhelmingly agreed with this (71%) when it is asked this way. Yet many of them voted for Obama. How can this be???
I would suggest that maybe they don’t or can’t associate specific values with particular candidates. I know, it’s hard to believe, but a low-information voter could agree with the above and then turn right around and vote for Obama because they aren’t aware of how he has expanded government or is associated with big gov’t corruption. All they know is he plays basketball and has a nice family.
Again, how could this be?
Well, the MSM sure doesn’t tell them.
They don’t learn this from unionized school teachers.
The American family doesn’t do a very good job of teaching values, civics, and current events (unless it’s Dancing with the Stars or MTV)
The older generations (e.g. “us”) who grew up knowing and valueing the traditions that build the country and paying attention to politics are fading away, or have become the distant relatives, not there often enough to overcome the above.
My point is: I think we are facing a major re-education campaign more than a major political rebuilding campaign. I don’t like calling voters “idiot” or “Stupid” but “uninformed” or “ignorant” (in the literal sense of that word), yes clearly - as this survey proves.
Republican party as a group is decent and cares about a few principles. For example they won’t go after the “black vote” because they think it would be racist to appeal to anyone based on race.
Democrats are thugs, not nice people, unprincipled. It’s their history. We are having our lunches stolen by very evil people and most of us are afraid to confront them. They have no such hesitation they are in your face.
What more do you need to see than awful schools while dems blubber about education- and legalizing pot so the kids can really ruin their lives. It’s rather obvious.
you mean like my uncle who was a public school teacher who was strongly conservative on just about any issue, but kept voting Democrat every year because it was all about funding for his pension and his job.
Obama used disgusting, dishonest, attack ads and tons of free media attacks and smears to define Romney and thus suppress turnout of white working class voters in swing states. That is how he won. They couldn’t stand Obama, but couldn’t stand Romney either, and so they simply stayed home. It was disaster for the GOP Senate races too. Obama won dirty.
Republicans have the right policies, and the wrong IMAGE.
From all indications, we had a much larger voter turn out - both for early and day of - that I've ever seen, before..across the country. From what I saw, it was CFA Day II - NOT Free phone folks.
Look at the turn out we had in DC opposing 0Care, look at our 2010 turn out and look at the CFA turn out. Add that up and the "lower turn out numbers" just doesn't make sense, to me.
Something's fishy in Spain...or where ever that voting software company is located.
A person can call himself conservative but have a completely different idea of what that is than what we think of as being conservative. Some people might think they are conservative if they wear plain clothing and don’t have a nose ring. Conservatism is in the eye of the beholder.
