Harry Reid is going to use the 2009 Carbon Tax Bill that was passed. How the hell can you use legislation from the archives?

The House is led by Boehner. Need we say any more. Boehner is setting up the GOP to roll over on everything. He hasn’t got the guts to face down Reid or Obama.

A courageous House speaker would pass spending bills one by one and dare the Senate to kill them. A separate bill for Defence. A separate bill for Healthcare. A separate bill for social security. Etc., etc. A line item veto in reverse. Start with the departments that are most important to Republicans and tell Obama and Reid that the next spending bill won’t be debated in the House until the first one is passed and signed into law.

If the HR goes along with this, it will be a glaring sign that we really have lost the country.

It beats me why the HR has not shut down this administration already just by withdrawing funding since they have to approve such funding.

So what if the Dems try to blame HR for shutting down the government, they do it all the time NOW.

HEY!.....

..... if there are any House "staffers" watching FR, trot over to Boehnr's office and tell him to just say NO to any funding for the Exec branch save for what is absolutely necessary to keep people alive.

BTW...if there are any Freepers out there who can explain to me what precludes the HR from withdrawing funds from ANY branch of Govt...I would like to hear it....esp since there hasn't been an official budget for almost 4 years.

That was my thought also. Maybe there's some regulation or executive order, but people don't like their gas prices or commuting tickets toyed with.

And every good would be more expensive!

Yes, maybe the media would blame the rich oil companies, and Obama would end up giving away money to “the poor” to help them with the costs.

But I do think the public would begin to catch on. Maybe hopelessly naive given Tuesday's results. In any event, the runaway spending will end, one way or another. Probably in an ugly way, but it will end.

They’ll just pass a law saying the House vote is only a guideline and not mandatory to pass a new law. It will got to the Supreme Court and they’ll agree.
