DETROIT (WWJ) Among the new group of state lawmakers to emerge from Election Day on Tuesday is Brian Banks, who has been convicted eight times for felonies involving bad checks and credit card fraud.
Banks, a Democrat and lifelong Detroiter, won a seat in Lansing as a state representative for the 1st District, representing the east side of Detroit, Harper Woods, and the tony Grosse Pointes. He won 68 percent of the vote to Republican Dan Schultes 32 percent.

The only good thing about Detroit is that it keeps a well-armed group of thugs preventing Canada from invading and annexing Michigan.
The bad news is that it’s preventing Canada from invading and annexing Michigan.
what people fail to mention is that almost everyone from detroit is an ex-con.
I would say this was a good pick by the people of Detroit. He will represent his constituency well.
I guess his bio will tell all about his incarceration.
Now there’s a lawmaker that Detroit voters can relate to like a member of their own family.
