Actually, we lost Nevada by more than 500,000 votes, but Tom ran an energetic, principled and honest campaign. He deserves all the thanks.

I share all the principles, values, and views that you have. I only disagree with your decision to not vote - though I fully acknowledge that it is your right and privilege.

I have friends who voted for Obama for many good reasons. All regret it because they didn’t forsee the consequences. Hindsight is 20/20.

I think the potential consequences of giving Obama another 4 years may bring you - and many others - to the same regret.

As citizens, we cannot ultimately determine who we have to choose from....but once the person is chosen, we have to pick the lesser of two evils. It’s a citizen’s duty. It’s not the church picking a pastor, or some equivalent role. While Romney was politically the lesser of two evils, I believe he is a good man, a wise man, a man of integrity - all things that Obama is not.

I agree it’s the difference between running toward the cliff at 50mph vs. 100mph. But running at 50mph gives more time to possibly later change the direction of the beast.

Obama for 4 more years could just be the end of our nation - in many different ways.....

There are some on this site that appear to be proud of their “NO VOTE” or vote for an irrevelant 3rd party and will disparage those who did vote for Romney and apparently expect others to applaud what they did. Now I’ll probably get another reply from soconpubbie disparaging me for supporting Romney.

Don't confuse adhering to our Christian Principles as some type of pride.

I am sure my fellow Christians who refused to Vote for Mitt Romney because he knowingly supported actions that God himself called either an Abomination(Gay Agenda) or that were murder(Abortion) did so with the same sadness that I had.

This was a horrible election for me.

My party decided that my Christian principles were no longer worth fighting for.

Mitt lost, in part, because he decided that Christian's principles were not important enough to fight for.

No, thank Romney for moving to the left after being nominated and supporting both Abortion and the Gay Agenda.

Thank Romney for refusing to articulate the differences conservatism (because he wasn't one, I know).

Thank Romney for refusing to articulate clearly and constantly the failures of Obama.

In short, any normal Republican, who didn't offend his base, would have won in a landslide against the disaster that is Obama.

The GOP-E, moderates, and pretend conservatives, offended and afraid of social conservatives, decided they had to win the election with the help of moderates and like-minded pocket-book liberals and decided that they could hold it's base, conservatives hostage.

This was Romney's fault and the GOP-E, not conservatives, and especially not Conservative Christians.

Your Bible quote is not relevant to this discussion, and I could pull a 100 out to make you look foolish, but I won’t use the Word that way.

No you can't, because the Bible in no way supports either the concept of the lessor of two evils or the idea that you can vote for a man who knowingly supports the sins of Abortion or the Gay Agenda. And this from a man who is a Bishop of a Church that recognizes those two issues as sinful as well.

In fact, the bible is quite clear and details a very distinct process of dealing with those who knowingly choose sin over righteousness like Romney is doing with Abortion(The murder of unborn Children) and the Gay Agenda. In short, if an individual refuses to listen to counsel concerning the sin he is caught up in, and Mitt has been counseled about this by many conservative Christians in very public manners, we are commanded to have nothing to do with them.

Please provide scriptures proving I am wrong.

You won't because you can't.

And furthermore, don't drag the name of Christ into the mud with you when you support a man who has chosen to support actions that go directly against the Word of God.

It belittles your confession of faith.

I agree, but I have two quick thoughts:

1) If we, as evangelical, God-loving, God-fearing, America-loving Christians (sorry for the qualifications, but just saying evangelical or Christian really doesn't mean much anymore) only vote for the "perfect" candidate, we would never vote (and never could have voted - there has only been one perfect person to walk this earth, and He didn;t run for office). The result would be that our influence would be even more muted.
2) If we start listing the traits that a candidate MUST or must NOT have, we ignore the whole picture (i.e., good traits, the other candidate, etc.).

My approach is to trust God first and ask His direction. That way, my human biases and blind spots don't get in the way as much.

I believe that God instituted this great country, including our way of choosing leaders. In His omniscience, He knew there would be short-comings (humans are involved), but I believe it is the best form of government in which His people can be heard effectively. If we give up our right to vote, we ignore His hand in our formation.

I did vote. I just didn’t vote for either of the two leading candidates. Unlike you, I never came to the conclusion that Romney was the lesser of the two evils. I think they are equally bad. The concerns I outlined in post 50 about Romney are serious concerns.

His free trade policy could have worse results than Obama’s complete lack of a plan. Romney’s homosexual activism has already done more harm than Obama has on the matter. His Mormonism in the presidential role model is a serious concern. You call him honest, but I see his record as well as his campaign manager openly talking about etch-a-sketching campaign positions. Romney’s credibility is no better than Obama’s in my opinion.

Those aren’t small concerns. I really don’t know which is the lesser evil. If I had voted for either one and they won I would definitely have had buyers remorse in the morning.

I didn’t vote for the liberal POS Romney. Maybe instead of blaming your customers for not buying your product... Just maybe y’all should look at your product.

It looks like Romney (I guess that's your candidate) lost by about 70,000. My candidate, Tom Hoefling, was more than 500,000 behind Obama in Nevada. Tom got about 30,000 votes nationwide and he got each one honestly. He didn't BS the voters.

I don’t know the details of Tom’s education, but I know he took on two over-educated liberals - two very fancy talkers!

When will our people learn?

And neither do I. It’s just liberals touting all messages about why mitt lost to cover massive voter fraud. We knew the ANTI-AMERICAN barry benghazi wasn’t going anywhere.

EXACTLY! I see you don’t believe the propaganda that MAKES conservatives believe that they hated Romney more than Obama - so the boy could keep the job. I’m amazed how some are so easy to deceive - they believe it and then repeat it. That’s when we know propaganda took!

I'm starting to wonder if Christ himself came down from Heaven to run for president if they'd stay home because "his hair is too long and he looks like a hippie!".....

You are speaking of Catholics who, once again, voted for the baby killer obama! Hey, he was good enough for Notre Dame and Georgetown to cover the cross for the anti-American muzzie lover.
