WASHINGTON (AP) — The election laid bare a dual — and dueling — nation, politically speaking, jaggedly split down the middle on the presidency and torn over much else. It seems you can please only half of the people nearly all of the time.
Americans retained the fractious balance of power in re-electing President Barack Obama, a Republican House and a Democratic Senate, altogether serving as guarantors of the gridlock that voters say they despise. Slender percentages separated winner and loser from battleground to battleground, and people in exit polls said yea and nay in roughly equal measure to some of the big issues of the day.

We have half the country voting for third world rhetoric, fabian, racist socialism and the other half wanting to protect property rights and the constitution while being labeled haters, racists, and worse. The networks function as unpaid sycophants for the race-baiting Obama regime that pits white against black and wonders why we are disgusted with them. Lord help us. They’re sooooooooooo much smarter than us.

Our side just wanted the abuse to stop and some of us were even willing to just see it reduced to a tolerable level. A majority of the voting public said no.
They will reap the rewards as more of us go Galt and cling to our guns and religion. No amount of squealing from the wagon riders will get the wagon pullers to work harder. We're done taking care of them. We'll take care of our own only.

The fools who comprise the majority electorate in CA just passed a new tax to supposedly boost the state of public “education” here. I recently got a taste of this “curriculum” with a handout of some teacher’s newly dumbed down version of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”.
I could not believe the vile - and I mean vile profanity this thing contained. I mean, I was truly shocked and I’m no prude. It apprently isn’t enough to have these kids exposed to and speaking from the gutter as a matter of their daily educational discourse, but to find that it is now actually part of the curriculum is depressing in the extreme.
We are truly descending into the depths.
Tell me when the wagon riders and the half of America who pays zero taxes or pays token taxes in comparison to the government largess they consume will be satisfied. Tell me how many more third world immigrants with third world values this country can absorb before we turn into a third world country ourselves? Yeah, there is a definite possibility of economic recovery in some sectors as long as people have cash to buy canned goods and ammunition. There will even be the possibility of new employment in green energy jobs like Solyndra as long as the government cash holds out. How long do you think that will be?
Everyone inherits yesterday. What matters is what you do today to make tomorrow better. Obama has had almost 1400 tomorrows, not one of which has been better than the day he took office.
He has blamed his predecessor. Well now he is his own predecessor. He can only blame himself for his failures.
He now inherits a worse mess than he did four years ago. He plans a continuation and intensification of the failed policies of the past four years. It is a certainty that the next 1400 days will be worse.
I'll have to answer for them. Ozone-flavored.
