Well... I love the saying, “it is what it is.”
No smoke and mirrors...what are we looking at exactly.
So with that in mind; Mitt had some baggage. A lot of people couldn’t or wouldn’t see any difference between Obama and Mitt. They didn’t see the point in voting. For what ever reason...be it religious or white guilt or whatever... they sat it out.
Catholics baffle me over this though...

He was seen as too liberal.
Mitt created RomneyCare because he knew he could make it work. Unfortunately he didn’t think of the bigger picture of Socialism. And that hung around his neck like a noose.
