A famous experiment reported at length many years ago in Scientific American studied the behavior of rats as the population density increased. The rats behaved in a much more-corrupted manner than at low density: they turned to homosexuality, eating their young (their abortion), and other depravities.
Very good point. I think that overcrowding in the “hive” leads to a much higher incidence of mental illnesses and substance abuse. Lenin’s vision of the Soviet Union was much like the “hive.” And look how well that went. People turned to alcohol and drugs (that’s where meth was invented). People didn’t care about what they did. Old Soviet saying: “As long as the bosses pretend they are paying us, we will pretend we are working.” Look at our own inner cities. Your average 0bamaphone owner isn’t living the most ordered or regimented life. Just plug “Ghetto fight” or “Chuckie Cheese fight” into a You Tube search and you’ll find out.
The hive won’t work because we aren’t ants. But that’s what they will try to do.
