It got me too. Our workforce was cut from 189 to 155. Since I was low man on the management totem pole, I was offered the choice of leaving or accepting a part-time position. Since nobody is currently hiring in the area, and 28-32 hours are better than nothing, I took the part-time posting.

On the plus side, this gives me an excellent opportunity to go back and finish my degree, as well as work on my novel which has been languishing ever since I accepted the management position a few years back.

Just you watch. Soon it will be illegal to fire workers if you are making “enough” money. If you reduce hours to avoid Obamacare, it will be “ evading taxes”. If you dont hire illegals, it will be discrimination. If you leave a state, or move to another country, you will be taxed on the profits you wouldbhave made if you stayed, and bureaucrats will determine those profits. That would also be a form of tax evasion.

Lockheed-Martin is going to lay off 123,000 very soon along with other defense contractors who will lay off their own.

I got laid off last week so right now I’m relaxing and now since I can’t afford to move out of this stinkin rat hole called California I was thinking starting a small business but now I’m not sure now that the crazies took over.

Reminds me of one employer a few years back after Bronco bama won first time around ... employer walked thru the company parking lot and made note of the Obama bumper stickers. Those employees were the first to go ...

I personally plan to do all I can to direct all my business to conservative companies, and to avoid as best I can giving any business to liberals. Liberals are a cancer on society, and the cancer needs to be starved.
