The GOP wanted to win without it's most energetic groups because they rejected their Neo-Con views.
They would rather lose then surrender them.
Ron Paul voters were young voters and supplied all the real energy in the primaries!
I recall Sarah Palin warning that the GOP would have to remember Ron Paul’s people.
And lose their right to vote.
I Don’t see this. Perhaps their votes were not counted at all. Even with this fraud, look at the huge areas of our Nation who have been ignored. These damned libs are going to live with this and they will eat first their enemies.
Mittens inspired no conservative enthusiasm.
It should have clear all along he was going to lose but conservatives on here engaged in group-think, circled the wagons and chose to shut their ears and eyes to the evidence that Mittens was a terrible candidate who never stood a chance.
And the changing demographics of this country now make it very difficult for Republicans to win. The white vote nationwide is not enough and we’re being killed on the gender gap and with minorities.
Conservatism appeals to fewer and fewer voters with every passing election. And the paradox is if the only way we can win is be like the other guys we will lose because voters will always pick the real liberal over the pretend one.
There are no easy answers for our loss on Tuesday. But going down the same path in 2016 only guarantees us a renewed defeat.
The Evangalical wing and the Libertarian wing must unite on that principal against the false Democrat view of 'freedom' which is simply anarchy.
But no one is going to get excited about managing an economy, which is what the Neo-Con Republicans keep running on and losing!
The GOP was formed to defend the principals of the Declaration of Independence and as a Party, we no longer appeal to it.
But we have to stop thinking of a political party as a religious Party-it isn't.
Human rights can be defended by appealing to the Declaration (which was based on the Bible) rather then appealing to the Bible itself.
The futher to the right the canidate is the better chance of winning— Remember Sharon Angle almost defeating Dirty harry — WE NEED SOMEONE FAR RIGHT— KINDA LIKE THATCHER

I don’t think the majority of Freepers deluded themselves into thinking Mutt was a good/great candidate.
I think in the end we decided he’s all we got as a firewall and yes, there just wasn’t enough emotion invested in his product, which no one could identify with any certainty just what it was, what problem it solved and how we were going to be assured it did as advertised.
Mutt was an Oklahoma Weathervane and my own family, who are democrats(don’t ask me why) was ready to throw Barry overboard but, Barry’s FUD about Mutt was too strong for them to overcome and they voted to keep “Shiite Sandwich” on the menu.
Now, we all have to keep taking a bite of this Shiite Sandwich for the next four years and deal with the ensuing sickness it will cause for years.
Gonna need to find a penicillin of some sort once he’s gone and take pain killers in the mean time.

To a person, they agreed Barry’s performance was underwhelming in the least.
That showed up in the overall voting with Barry receiving 9 million votes less than he did in 08’.
For now, we sing Doris Day tunes....

And it is that attitude that will keep the GOP from winning another national election.

We showed up. We stood in line all damn day. Still there were less votes AT THAT POLLING STATION than in 2008. Believe what you will but I know what I saw with my OWN DAMN EYES.

It is clear that the Rats have “mastered the art of GOTV without actually having to physically get your voters present.
The slime already knows the answer. They plug in the required numbers to fit it. It isn’t about correctly governing a Nation, it’s to cover their ass as long as they are in power.
Further; it is only natural that cover does not prevent exhaust. This is dropped across what what is red, now. Color it black for the blood they have wasted.
