Another probable disaster regarding Obama's reelection, siding with the enviro-nazis on energy.

This is spin. The pipeline will be built, they re-routed a section around the Nebraska Sandhills to avoid most of the Ogallala Aquifer and site preparations such as running power to the compressor stations has already begun.
The Nebraska Governor is culpable in this a little, as he thought he could placate some environmentalists by agreeing with them when they were going to lose anyway, but the Obama machine saw it as a crisis in need of exploitation and make it a big deal.

Good. Let him and his EPA shut down coal, natural gas, and oil.
I want the whole country to see the results of his insane policies. Let every one of those morons who backed him realize their foolishness when he makes the economy scream in agony.

Something all Freepers should keep in mind is that this pipeline isn't about "energy independence" or developing domestic energy resources. One of the major factors in the development of this pipeline is that it will serve as a conduit to transport oil from the Great Plains and western Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.
A lot of this oil will be exported.
With the ongoing decline of the U.S. dollar we are rapidly approaching a point where we'll be like a Third World country in which our own resources are more and more difficult for us to afford.
