When they come for the guns, gun owners won’t have any idea that’s what the LEOs are there for until it’s too late. There won’t be any announcement before it happens.
The few in the beginning may not get warning, but if they do it on a large scale, there is going to be push back and resistance. What is always quoted - 80 million gun owners? They won’t even be able to put a scratch in that number.
Besides, Obama’s signature on a treaty is Unconstitutional without Senate approval, and even with Senate approval no treaty can usurp a very understood US Constitutional right. And moreover, the next reasonable president would just withdrawal from any silly UN gun control treaty.
The first few houses maybe. After that, it's going to get to be a high-risk proposition.
If there are EVER house to house firearm confiscations in this country, you will have lost much more than just your right to keep and bear arms. At that point, you may as well take as many with you as you can, because you will be murdered anyway, as you will be a “risk”.Also, if such did happen, only the first house would be a surprise. Everyone would know what was going on after that.
They’ve already programmed too much of the public with the narrative that anyone with more than one gun is a dangerous terrorist lunatic. This is not going to be a sudden “stormtroopers in the night” situation. The left takes the long view on all of its policies. The disarmament of America will be done gradually by convincing kids in school to not own weapons (although we see how well that works in the ‘hood). This process will certainly accelerate in the next four years, but given the results of Tuesday’s election, I don’t know if it is reversible.
Fortunately, most of us LEOs in the Red States respect the Constitution and would warn the populace of gun confiscation moves if we’re even told about it. I can assure you that there are hundreds of highly trained SWAT teams, especially in TX, that would be itching to go against the feds if they try something like this. We have way more LEO firepower than they do.
